Rhodesian Ridgeback was breed in South Africa. It is a hounting dog (VI FCI).
It has got a ridge on its back made of hair that grows in another direction.

I love these dogs. I'm really glad to see one here at Chazhound, although, I think he may actually be the second Ridgeback. It's great for people to get a chance to see some of the rare breeds.
