We drive a Pontiac Vibe.... We love it. We used to put the back seats down for the doggies... but now that Hannahs carseat is back there we can't do that... but they still fit nicely together in the very back even with the seats up.... except for when Belle decides she HAS to look at whatever beezer is looking at and then she squishes him into the corner lol. but it really is a great vehicle.... lots of room.

Eventually we are going to be getting a second vehicle... probably something a little bigger, a little roomier. A minivan sounds good... I don't want one of those big honkin SUV's... I don't drive yet but I will be eventually and it is all I can stand to drive the car we have now lol a minivan will be a big enough adjustment.... let alone an SUV lol

I have a Mazda 6, and Ian has a Nissan Altima.

I'm not loyal to any particular make, however, I have a general dislike of American cars. More specifically, American economy cars. I just feel that imports are more reliable.
Mazda is mostly owned by Ford and the Mazda 6 is manufactured in Detroit, MI.

I drive a 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT.

I have a 2001 Toyota RAV4 L. It's got me hooked on Toyotas. I have the seats folded up all the time because I've always got the dogs back there and have fit 2 people and five dogs in it that way before. When traveling with dogs, I take the seats out and can fit more crap than anyone though possible while still having enough room for three or four big dogs to have their own space. Sawyer likes to curl up in the foot well right behind the driver's seat. ;) For camping, I can take out both back seats and once we get to where we're going, shove the front seats up as far as they'll go and there is room for two people to fully stretch out in the back...even if one person is almost 6 ft. tall...and still have places to stash gear.

My next vehicle will probably be the Highlander, maybe a 4Runner depending on how long the RAV lasts and how many dogs I have at the time. My mom drives a Corolla currently and it gets wonderful gas mileage...Dad wants to give that back to my brother and buy her a Highlander though. They want to get back into camping with tents and all.

I had a 1994 Saturn SL1 before this and loved it--it was my first car and perfect for the task. Drove the crap out of that car---had 130K exactly when I handed the keys over and had had it for 8 years. But when I went looking for a new car, Saturn just didn't have what I wanted. I didn't like how the VUE handled and the back seats didn't fold flat, so it was useless for crates.

Zoom, right now I drive a 2003 POS Neon, but I'm really wanting an SUV the next time around.

The RAV4's seats all fold down? In your opinion, is there any way to get two dobe-sized crates in it?

Um...if you take the seats out I know you can fit one Large Vari-kennel in with room for Sawyer and Virgo to hang out in the rest of the cargo area. Maybe you could get two in there? I haven't tried. By "fold down" they sort of fold forward...rumble seat style...they don't lay flat, but are very easy to remove and replace as needed. Although...the 2007's were redesigned to be a little bit bigger, so maybe? I think it would awesome to see someone pull up to a dealer ship with two Dobe crates going "ok, let me give this a look-see here..."

I know if they were just riding loose you'd have more than enough room. But for crates, you might want to look at the Highlander first, or maybe the 4Runner. The Highlander came out in 2001 and is still sort of spendy, while the 4Runner has been out for awhile and you can find earlier models.

Funny you mention that, because I had that in my post originally and edited it.

Ford is a 25% shareholder. The engineering is still done by Mazda in Japan.

And most import cars are assembled in the US because it's cheaper.

Still headquartered in Hiroshima in western Japan, Mazda Motor Corporation today ranks as one of Japan's leading automakers.

My car is the 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE standard shift, that I bought from my mom. Its my baby to say the least LOL. I only let very few people touch it and even then im watching them LOL. It gets great milage I can do the 200 mile trip to tallahassee on a tank and a half. It can also fit Walker, Scirracco and Patches in the backseat with josh and i in the front. I love love love its ability to get up and go. You dont wanna know how many guys Ive wiped out with this thing jsut playing around. :D

My dad drives a 1988 Chevy 1500 z71 4x4 regular cab automatic truck. this is also my next vehicle I love this thing almost as much as my baby LOL. It gets ok milage for a truck its age thanks to my dads reno's (k&N cone filter baby!!!!) Its also got a 3 inch lift with mud tires and awesome flowmaster pipes. The interior is slowly getting redone he just added a brandnew headliner and carpet.

Heres a pic before the pipes, tires, and lift.

My mom drives a 2000 Suzuki esteem standard shift. It gets good milage but other then that its pretty basic.

And my dream car is a 1967 Chevy Pickup cherry red, chrome with red and white leather totally redone.

I'm quite sure I could fit 2 dane cages in mine ..... also I can remove the 4Runner seat easily . Take 2 pieces of cardboard the size of the bottom of your cages and try them out .

My husband drives a Jeep Rubicon Sahara edition (it's a Rubicon that Jeep only produced 1,000 of based on the movie Sahara). It is getting ready to get lifted 6" and have some 37" tires put on it so that he can go out and play with the rest of the boys. I am 5'1" and can get into it now 'okay' -- once it's lifted there is no way I'm going to be able to get into it with a running start. Hehe.

I recently traded my Mazda 3 (fully loaded) in for a Pontiac GTO and I am in LOVE with this car. We searched several month to find exactly what I was after (black with red leather). It will soon be getting some new exhaust, header, and intake. I can already see the tickets coming! :)

Once I'm done with nursing school we are planning on getting either a BMW, Lexus or Acura. A SUV is also a possibility, I've missed owning a SUV since we got rid of our Jeep Cherokee Unlimited several years ago.

I know. My car is made in Indiana.

You called them imports so I had to point that out. They aren't actually imported. :)
I was trying to simplify things by using the word "import." Generally, one refers to any US car make as "domestic," and any foreign make as "import."

I know that most foreign cars actually aren't imported... as well as most "domestic" car parts aren't even made in this country.

I drive an '98 Chrystler Cirrus.

It was my grandma's car and was given to me. It drives nicely, but we've definatley had a lot of mechanical problems to fix. It ran really well for the first 5 years and I'm chalking it up to being an older car.

When I get to buy and choose my own car I'll probably get a Toyota or Volkswagen.

'94 Ford Mustang.

i love it, but i wouldn't be opposed to getting another type of car. The next car i look at will probably be a Ford Edge or a Nissan Xterra.
