I have great confidence in the ingenuity of the human race, but I'm also not fool enough to think that popping out a kid and then telling it "There ya go! Fix all the stuff I screwed up for you!" is the way to go. If anything, people should want to try harder to do less damage to the world that they are putting their children in. Now
that would be the most unselfish thing to do. Yeah, the first lady in the article is a little extreme, but the second couple seemed to be very rational to me. They said that if they decided to have children later on they would adopt. In fact, if I ever decide to have kids that's what I would want to do. That is a completely unselfish gesture to me. No, having a child isn't evil, obviously, or else we would die out as a species. But it's definitely something that should require a lot of thought and consideration. I think it's funny how people are jumping from ONE article about people choosing to be sterilized to legislation forcing people to do it. Pretty huge jump if you ask me. And I'm pretty sure that there are plenty of liberals who would still like to have children. In fact, I bet a large majority of them do. So, sorry melissa, you aren't going to get rid of them that easily!

No wonder so many people are depressed and angry.
Hey, ya know what else might be contributing to people's depression? Hateful comments like this that some people can't seem to keep to themselves!!
