With all the debates and ruffled feathers over purebred or mutts Im curious.

Recognised purebred, mutt, or both.

I have a pair of mutts.

Although I do think of her as the one and only German Shepador Retriever ;)

Both. Well my parent's have a purebred Stand. Poodle and I have a BC mix.

i have a cross. i have owned purebreds as well. not sure what the next dog will be.

Purebred.......but these 3 are my first purebreds....all my other dogs have been mixed breeds. And the next dog I get will be a mixed up small shelter dog. Although I will probably always have labs or shepherds or both. :D also.

There is a Cocker here, but I didn't pick her or want one, so I have to say mixed!

I would love to get Buster a playmate at some point, and would probably go with the random shelter retriever type method. Unless I want a sighthound or a hunting spaniel, I see no reason to support purebred dog overpopulation.

I said both and hit submit before I remembered that Mike is no longer with us :(

So now I have two purebreds BUT only one is from a breeder. The Greyhound is from rescue, but I can check his pedigree and racing history online anytime I want.
