Well, I think this is a great forum. I have been having signifigant health issues since march with asthma and such. Can't work, and have not great stamina yet. Not much I can do. Thank goodness for Chaz, and all the great people here. i spend time on the forum and posting, and enjoy almost everyone. If y ou can't see what a good place this is to be, than you should go.

"You reap what you sow" somehow seems so fitting here, doesn't it.
It may seem fitting, but what others fail to realize is that these mods represent a forum. Even though a forum is a community, and there will definitely be differences, no mod should have acted in that manner... NONE. I find it highly inappropriate, rude, and uncouth. Personally, I would leave too, if I were in her position. Instead of calling her a bitch, why not just ban her with a more appropriate message?

*gets off soap box*

Now that it has been said, I love all the mods here, and this forum. This post was in no way attacking any of you, just so you know. I just felt the need to defend Casa, as it was highly inappropriate. I'm sure you guys understand :)

Every single member represents a forum- NOT just the moderators.
Yes, you are right. I should have stated that :)

Personally, I think that this should be removed. Nothing but bashing will go here, if ya know what I am saying. Just like an accident waiting to happen.

Lol! that's like saying "No offense but what I'm about to say is highly offensive..."

Like Nic said, the forum is not represented by the mods. We are just here to provide guidance when needed. We do NOT have to act like angels 100% of the time. We are still allowed to have opinions and to get exasperated with people if we weren't why bother even participating in the forum? Maybe you'd like it if we just sat back in our chairs and played god but this is our community too.

Nobody said to sit back and play gods but whether you want to believe it or not, the so called mods "representations" are looked at a lot more than the non mods....

Sure you can get aggravated and so on and so forth but isn't the definition of a mod someone who mediates disputes and attempts to avoid violence, disruptions and so on and so forth...

- you know I love some of you mods ;)

*sings again*

Should I stay or should I go now?
Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go there will be trouble
An if I stay it will be double
So come on and let me know

I find that hard to believe since most people don't even know who the mods are here when the first join and by the time they are regular members they have a better understanding of what this community is about.

Only thing you have to do is look at the forum leaders, even newbies can do that....*wow what a concept*

So as a matter of fact, they can know who the mods are....

AC, holy cow, I would hate to see you attack if that wasnt one LOL. I love it when people stick up for underdogs, but she aint no underdog, she is a bully. I reflect on terms that went through my lips after reading her posts and I used words that makes bitch sound weak and watered down. She hurt people on here all the time with no regard for their feelings.

In the 70s, there was a book called "Games People Play". One of the games was called "Let's You and Him Fight". The perp would "innocently" start a ruckus designed to get two or more people he despised to fight with one another. It took a very clever and surrepticious person to pull it off, especially given that the targets were initially amicable toward one another. What the person would do is "innocently" tell each of the people something awful the other one did or said, until finally the targets were fighting and the actual initiator enjoyed sitting back and watching it all unfold.

If this thread isn't a deliberate and prime example of "Let's You and Him Fight" I don't know what is.

I totally understand that. As a previous owner of a forum, I know things like this happen from time to time. I just wish it would have been handled in a much more... what is the word... professional way.

I understand why he was calling her a bitch, and I understand his frustrations. I guess I just wished it would have been handled in a more appropriate way.

I have not been around long enough, nor do I pay attention to one person's posts , to know that she was a bully. I tend to shy away from all the threads that cause controversy, to avoid any sort of conflict between myself and others.

Yes, quite a concept Jess. That's why we get so many people asking who the mods are and others suggesting we put titles under our names. Nobody said they couldn't know who the mods were. It just tends to take them awhile unless they are familiar with vbulletin.

At times over the years I've told each of my children " I love you , but at this point I don't like you because of your actions or attitudes " This is true here .

The thing is... Casa got exactly what she wanted by posting this thread. Everyone came to either support her or put their two cents in regarding her behavior. It's like she needed someone to say "bad girl" or "good girl" and give her a cookie.

All of the moderators here are human. We have emotions and we carry torches for topics that are very much close to our hearts- just like any member here. Sometimes our emotions lead our fingers on the keyboard and we don't always think twice before we say or do something, but we're HUMAN- we make mistakes and learn from them just as we hope others do from theirs. As a moderator who has once let a member get the better of me, I speak from experience when I say it is hard to rise above and moderate a forum when you have people constantly kicking you and not expecting you to speak your mind because you're a moderator.

For a very long time now (behind the scenes, obviously) Casa has been poking and prodding and disrespecting moderators and members left and right. There is only so much of this belittling, rudeness and condescending talk that any person can take (should they even have to take any of it at all?). Casa drew her own line and she crossed it. She is leaving because she can not handle what she dishes out on the forum, she is leaving of her own accord- so be it, the forum will be a little lighter until the next person comes along and attempts to ruin it for others.

What some members, lurkers, etc. don't seem to realize is that we moderators do not get paid for this. We do this on our own time, because we love the forum and the members. Every single time you (generic you) click that report post button or send a PM to a moderator, WE deal with it because we want to make this a fun place for everyone. Can you imagine receiving countless PM's and reported posts from one person over and over again- all because they get upset because someone doesn't agree with them or they don't feel that someone else is entitled to their opinion because it's not the same as theirs? My goodness.

And while it is possible for new members to go down to view forum leaders and see who the mods are, most don't and even then do not know that they can do that. Just the other night in chat I told someone about that feature and most of the people in chat said, "really, i didn't know that."

The mods here are not the only ones to represent Chazhound- the voices are and every member has a voice.

I completely agree. This thread was started to create controversy, and I bet Casa is sitting at home watching everyone go at it.
