Besides hang out on Chaz, of course! LOL
What do you do for a job? Do you like it?
What is your dream job?
What is your favorite job from your job history?
And what do you do in your "spare time" - do you have an interesting hobby that people don't know about?
I currently work at an international inbound call centre, taking reservations from and for all over the world for a well known car rental brand. I take about 120 calls in an 8 hour shift, in both English and French. I do hate my job, but unfortunately, without a degree, there's not much else I could do and get paid this much!!
My dream job would be being an APHA show judge and trainer, but the horse market is just so unpredictable. I would be happy to be a social worker specializing in child welfare and train a small clientele of horses on the side. My ultimate goal (thinking 30 years down the road!) would be to own a ranch (a la Neon Rider) for all of society's "last chance kids" - ones on their way into or out of rehab or juvenile detention, on suicide watch, chemical dependancies, homeless, etc - give them a chance to get their high school equivalency, teach them good work ethic (through working on the farm), and responsibility (through working with their assigned horse and chores), and help them start living a good life.
My favorite job in the past was working as a standardbred racehorse groom, at a farm. Absolutely LOVED the horses, and most of the people I met. I was actually sexually harrassed by my supervisor at that job, and eventually fired because he was definitely not "my type", but can still look on that job as being one of the best I have had. I also really enjoyed a summer I worked as a librarian, coordinating the children's summer reading program.
In my spare time I have been working agility with my miniature australian shepherd, Morrie. I was previously training my 6 year old APHA mare, Angel, until I lost her to colic six weeks ago. I am without a riding horse right now, but I am perusing my options. I am working on inhand trail with my six month old colt (Angel's son), and basically biding my time until next spring when I plan to start her (now) three year old daughter, Ari. Basically my entire life revolves around horses!
I also really enjoy doing some basic HTML, and am exceptionally addicted to Equination.net, a simulated thoroughbred horse racing game. I like to scrapbook and I also really enjoy creative writing.
So! Tell me about you!
