Here's Indy. This makes her head look HUGE, but it's really not. She's still down on her pasterns, but now I think she'll always be. She's tightened them up a lot, they're loads better than they were, but I don't think she'll ever get over it. She also looks butt high lol.

This is the best I could do with Enzo. Her back legs are a little bit father apart than I'd like, but she wanted to sit down the entire time. "Stand? What is this Stand you speak of??? Stay?! I don't know that one either!" :p

And finally Ozzy. His back feet are where they're supposed to be I believe. They may be a hair far apart, but he was the second easiest to get to co-operate, though he kept thinking I wanted him to sit too.

And finally...the creatively built Webster :)

This is a very, very old picture from back when we were moving from our rental to our first house. Webby had figured out how to find back between boxes and had chewed a hole in the backup bag of kibble (they were on raw at the time) and had been secretly snacking for nearly a month and was quite fat. At the time this picture was taken I was still tearing my hair out trying to figure out WHY he was so fat because his exercise hadn't changed and I had cut back his food...little stinker probably just snacked more...:rolleyes:

Buuut it's the only decent stacked picture I could find so without further ado...

:)

I can't load the photos right now on tapatalk which is annoying but on the topic I want Shamoo eval'd when I can find or take any semblance of a stacked shot. I've had her eval'd by a few sports trainers and they all said she was nicely built even knowing its hard to get a comfortable stack with her bad leg. Its always interesting to me. She tore and retore her knee up but she was also 35+ lbs over weight when I adopted her and at almost 15 her energy bursts revile the Malinois so I'm sure it's environmental. I bet she was an awesome sports prospect as a youngin', I wish I had her then but I bet she'd have been such a handful I'd beg for relief. lol

Oh, this is neat! I'd love to see someone do Zander.

I took this one not long ago. November, maybe?

This was over a year ago. He was 5.

Awkward dog is awkward. :rofl1:

Linds, the shoulder is a bit off, you want to have the lines intersect at the point of the shoulder rather than the chest. Same with the rear, point of the hip. I think they are just extended a bit past where you want them to be.

Would someone be willing to draw the hip and shoulder angle lines on Boo? I tried to do it myself, but I don't have a clue, especially with her fur.

Along with the hip and shoulder angle lines, what do the others mean/where should they be? I see parallel (horizontal to the ground) red lines, and a yellow box looking thing along with parallel (vertical to the ground) green lines. Ideally, what should they look like? Also, you say Boo is straight in the rear and more angle is good. At what point though does good angle become too much angle? For example the American show line German shepherds these days are wonky looking dogs.

Here's another side photo of Boo:

Thanks! Shai was explaining it last night but I fell asleep. (sorry Shai!) I think she made one up that was more correct.

I was sitting there with the poodle link, the Diane Jessup pit link, Zinga, Zuma and Web all open in my browser while trying to grope around Traveler and Didgie and match merle spots up to the pictures. It was interesting. But, things are starting to make more sense! Kinda.

Could someone do the lines for Trent?
Best guess having never had hands on him. If anyone has recommendations for adjustments, feel free! He actually probably has even more front angulation but since he's turned toward the camera that tends to make the front look less angulated :)

Hope that helps you ballpark at least. Another thing you can do is find the joints with your hands and put a bit of tape on them (blue painter's tape works well and comes off most coat types easily) and photograph him that way.

I want someone to do this to Frodo, lol. Or at least give me a critique on his structure.

I know it's pretty bad, but I ant to know how bad!

Do you have a picture (sorry if you posted one earlier and I missed it)? Unfortunately Corgis have such amazingly thick/dense coats that it can be especially hard to pinpoint via picture but I can try.

When you get your beautiful little ado jrt you'll probably have a much easier time seeing the angles in person :)

Going to do the lines for fun later, when the OH comes home to show me how to do it. He's got to have something on his graphics computer brain for it but I'm stumped. Chances are he'll whip out something within minutes. LOL

And should get a stacked shot of Storee for it too...

I can attempt to tape his fuzzy little butt up, too. Where do you put the tape, exactly? Like, on his knee joint? And...where else?

what is an ideal conformation? i know it depends on breed , but since a lot of people here
do dog sport , what would good confo for a sport dog be ?
