Hey it's not like I squirm around & point & shout 'ewwwww gross!!!' but I do visibly 'turn my nose up' at it... Same as I do with screaming & out of control kids. I don't say anything but you will know you are pissing me off... Not intentionally, I just am not good at hiding my emotions.

I said it before and I'll say it again.. the female body is nothing to be ashamed of or covered. The "well..why can't they just cover up".. is a long dangerous road to go down.

I'm not saying this because "Oh but it's natural!" or "babies have to eat!" I'm saying it because the very IDEA of asking women to cover their bodies like they should be ashamed just strikes me as WRONG especially when you think about the times where showing skin and breasts is ok.. what sets those times apart from breastfeeding? Bikinis, lingerie ads, billboards, ads, magazines, beer posters etc..etc.. hmmm..now what do all these things have in common? ..oh yea. It's all the times where breasts are sexualized or part of a male fantasy.

but to take breasts and try to show them as being part of a female body and using them to feed a child.. OBSENE!

For a kid to walk by victorias secret and look at the models.. normal. For a kid to find Daddy's old playboys? aww.. boys will be boys after all.
but for a kid to see a woman feeding her child?! DO YOU WANT TO TRAUMATIZE HIM?! Can you imagine him going around thinking that breasts are used for feeding babies and not just for looking nice and being propped up in pretty bras on billboards?! It's an outrage!!

I only say something (as will my mom who DID breast feed) if the woman is letting it sl hang out with no regard for herself or others. If she is being polite about it I will keep my ick knee jerk response to myself.

Sorry I don't tend to play by the same 'social' rules as everyone else & if it doesn't apply in adult society why are so many things given on a 'first come first served' basis? Isn't that kinda thr same thing?

Hey I am a free American, if something offends me you'll hear about it & he's everything I say on here I will say to someone's face. I'm every bit As brave maybe more so in person than I am online.

FYI those ads the women's breasts aren't BARE they have something covering them it's not like girls gone wild or playboy (both I sviod like the plague because they wig me out as much as breast feeding) besides I'm a STRAIGHT woman, why would I want to look at boobs anyway, that would be more relevant if I was a guy making this post.

and no. something being GIVEN as a first come first served is not the same thing. BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL ALLOWED TO BE THERE. Nobody is saying "LOL YOU WEREN'T HERE YOU FIRST AND I DON'T LIKE YOU, YOU LEAVE BECAUSE YOUR BABY, MAKES ME, AN ADULT, DISGUSTED".

I find it kind of amusing where, collectively, we ALL see people naked at some point in our lives...we see ourselves naked daily...most of us has had/will have sex..and yet nekkidness and sex is so taboo. And to have people think a glimpse of a breast from breastfeeding is wrong.. I just don't get it.

You see more in those ads then when I breastfeed in public . Now at home yeah im not discreet at all.

I have been told that before ... By moms & Health nuts alike... & I tell them to bite me (really) tho I don't smoke in public anymore... Not ashamed, just had to cut down on the amount per day due to the price of smokes now days.

You don't say anything... But I'd be willing to bed you make a face... Even if you don't know you do, & that's ok, I wouldn't care. I have been given dirty looks for my clothes & tattoos before *shrug* doesn't bother me I am who I am... Why should a dirty look from someone like me who you don't even know matter anyway? It's just them expressing their opinion so let them go on with their bad selves.

because attitudes like that are what causes buisness to cause women FEEDING THEIR CHILD problems. Attitudes like that are the reason breastfeeding moms have to carry the laws with them in public. No I do not make a face actually Ive learned how to control myself.

Where is it that people are seeing all of these breastfeeding women waving their bare breasts at passersby? The last woman I saw breastfeeding in a public place was my sil, and that was 4 years ago.....

And honestly, as a former smoker I think its laughable that a smoker would bitch about breastfeeding as a disgustingly public behaviour.... talk about gross things people do in public....

Heck Im even rasing a future breastfeeder. Bev takes her dolls and puts them up to her cheast and tells me "Mommy Im feeding them!!! They like to breastfeed". <3 my awesome little girl

Um I am in S. GA and IM one of the few people here that Ive ever seen breastfeeding. I get dirty looks EVERYTIME I do and told why not put that kid on formula. Breastfeeding is NOT common here.

I know how dare I walk around feeding my daughter I should walk around in skanny tops showing off my boobs for the guys.

I live in southern Louisiana. I see women obnoxiously breastfeeding pretty regularly. To me, there is a difference between breastfeeding modestly and breastfeeding obnoxiously. I don't mind the modest, I definitely mind the obnoxious and I DO say something.
