Right now my favorite breed is the APBT, I love everything about the ones I've met and based on what I've read and heard from others they sound like just the dog I want. We'll see if I still feel that way after I've owed one though.

Great Danes are runner up, they remind me of Max.

Westies are my breed. Love them to pieces. I will have a Westie in my life until the day I die.

Have not decided what my large dog breed will be of yet, Thats to be decided.
Omg, can't believe I forgot to write about Westie's on my list! *slaps head* I'm actually debating between Westie's, Papillons or a Silky.

I've been in love with Rotties since the first time I saw one back in the 70s... maybe someday I'll have one.

Well, right now I'm lovin' Koolie's and I hope it stays that way.

I also really really love Saluki's and if I hadn't falled in love with Koolie's I would more than likely have a Saluki pup right now.

There are several breeds that I love. My heart breed, however, is a chow-chow. I just adore them. Of any kind, even mixes. Some people just don't understand my love for them but I grew up with them and discovered how sweet and awesome they can be. :D

Otherwise my favorites would be Alsatians, BCs, and Aussie Shepherds, and ACDs... and a few others along those lines. I have a large variety of "favorite" breeds.

If I had to choose a dog for my life right now, it WOULD be the chow-chow. Because our apartment life can't handle a small dog that may bark (the breeds I like are typically yappers) and wouldn't be able to handle a very large dog. Chow-chows just fit me like a glove. :p

Boxers. Not ALL boxers. Out-of-control, untrained boxers are complete monsters! But even then, I love their personalities so much, that as long as those boxers are owned by someone else, I still love them. :p

Favorite breed? Labs, of course, followed by Siberian Huskies & Norwegian Elkhounds.

Breeds I love and might possibly own someday: Rottweilers, Dobermans and Beagles

Breeds I love/admire, but probably won't own for one reason or another:
Newfoundland (to drooly for hubby, plus shorter life span), Bullmastiffs (same reason as the Newf), Chinese Crested (hubby can't see them as anything but a little dog.)

I can't say that I have a favorite, there are tons of breeds that I like, but I'm not sure I could ever say that one breed is my absolute favorite. This, obviously, means that I need to own more dogs! :p

OT, but we have one boxer at the doggy daycare I work at. I was so excited to meet her, but she is so *not* a boxer. She doesn't have a ton of energy, she doesn't love people, she doesn't grab your arm and run her nails down it, etc. She just kinda hangs out. That is not a boxer in my book, I was disappointed as they are one of my fave breeds :lol-sign:
If I get a boxer, I am expecting (and wanting) insane energy!

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. I just can't stay away from them! I will have a Toller around for as long as I possibly can.

I don't really have a second favourite. My list of favourites is always changing. Dobermans are definitely way up there, but I don't think I'll have them forever. Maybe one more at some point, but there are other breeds I'd like to try/have as well.

Other breeds I like are (in no particular order):

- Belgian Shepherds (all varieties, but mainly Groenendael and Tervuren)
- Dalmatian
- Jack Russell Terrier
- Rottweiler

Plus a few more, but those are the ones that I'm mainly interested in right now.

I'd have to say it's a tie between Labradors and German Shepherds right now. I've always adored GSD's and ever since getting to know the breed, they are just one of my all around favorite dogs. Enzo is what made me love Labradors, and I think that I'll probably always have one of these goofy happy dogs around.

Runners up are JRTs and Australian Shepherds. Along with Border Collies and Collies. I love all these breeds, and I'll probably have one of each at least once, but I can't say for certain that I'll ALWAYS have one of them around.

Breeds I love but will never own? Probably pit bulls, Golden Retrievers, Boxers, and Dobermans. I love pitties, but I can't seem my lifestyle ever accommodating another DA dog. Ozzy is so much to handle, and while I LOVE the HECK out of this dog, I can't say I love his hardheadedness in regards to other dogs. I wish I could take him more places, do more things with him, etc, but his DA doesn't allow for that, because he fights to win, and he pokes holes in other dogs. People frown on that.

Goldens are airheads. Not saying Labs aren't, but I've never met a Golden that I wanted to take home with me.

Boxers, well, I adore my brothers Boxer, but I won't own a brachyphiliac (I know I didn't spell that right, but spellcheck isn't helping me at all) breed on principal.

Dobes, I like them a lot. Steven adores them, but meh, I cant see myself with one, unless Steven does the research and gets the dog. And then it'll be his dog anyway :p

Do you live with Steve? In the same house? Are you talking...a Doberman living with you in your house? Don't count on it just being Steve's dog. Hahahahaha! When Steve isn't around, and even if he is probably, you'll have a Doberman coming into the bathroom with you to help you with your grooming needs. You'll have a helper chef, an assistant gardener, you'll get help with the house work, a helper in everything you do. And if you think you'll sit on the couch ever... without at least one Dober-body-part touching you, think again. Dobermans won't let any family member ignore their presence. You will likely get so bonded to a Doberman, you will wonder why it took you so long to get one.;)

I don't know if I have a favorite. I like so many breeds. Looks wise, I think my favorite might be the Malamute

Labradors, hands down. Not all Labradors, mind you. I've met some that were absolute terrors. But a proper Labrador is a great dog. :)

Pitties, Rotties, and Great Danes are the runnerups, although I do have a soft spot in my heart for Malamutes. Chesapeake Bay Retreivers have also caught my interest, but I haven't really met one in person. (I met one, but it was a psycho dog from hell, so I don't count that.)

I used to adore the Mastiff type breeds, but after meeting a few I'm not entirely sold on them now. Dogue de Bordeauxs still interest me and I still drool after Neapolitan Mastiffs, but I now doubt I'd own one (maybe a Bordeaux). I also admire Akitas and Chows from afar, but I don't think I'd want to own one.

If I ever get another giant breed, I hope it will be a Tosa Inu. The more I read about them and see pictures, the more I want one. I really hope I will have the pleasure of owning one of them before I die.

Naturally I love my filas, but I will always love rotties, airedales, and olde english sheep dogs. If I could, I would have another Rottie living with us, they are just fabulous dogs and are perfect for Filas. They really seem to compliment each other.

On the small side, I will probably have a westie, scottie. pap or the naked :) american terrier one day when i'm old and feeble, and can't wrestle with large dogs.
