There is a pet store the next city over that I have been meaning to go to and never have a chance to so we went yesterday. I was soooooooooooooo excited because they sell

Innova
Evo
Canidae
Eagle Pack
California Naturals

i mean they had soooooooooooo many good foods. I walk in there adn they have birds and fert and other small animals, along with fish all look decently cared for. Ok what else is new. Then I walk to the food.............they sell puppies, not oly puppies but OMG the cages were FILTHY and the puppies were all lethargic they wont even let you in the room where they havethe puppies. We walked in there because there was a door there butit was a half door and opened and no sign saying do not enter or anything and got yelled at for being in there. I mean they had a YELLOW maltese. UGH

WHY?!?!!?!?!?! They sell AWESOME food so they KNOW about nutrition but then they sell mill puppies in HORRIBLE shape :(

So after seeing the condition that they are in have you contacted the board of health for that city or animal control for that city or called the SPCA for that city?

 That's always upsetting. Several years ago I stopped feeding EVO to my babies because the store where I got it from starting selling puppy mill puppies and there conditions weren't good. I refused to support that. I'm really glad I have a good store to get it from, now ! :)

I know someone who contacted Natura and let them know the conditions of the store that was selling their food, and natura pulled their products from their shelves. Food for thought :p

Good for you for not giving them your money.

They sell high end food because people will buy it. Simple supply and demand. I hadn't thought about contacting the dog food suppliers. Contact all of them!

That is awful! Those poor puppies, I also hate it when I find a store with great stuff that sells pups

Oh and Lolas Dad.. she probably has you on ignore lol which is why she didnt see your post. many do. so it wasn't "glossed over" she just didnt see it.

As for the store, you can call your local animal control to go check it out. from the sounds of it, those pups are NOT up to health codes.

lol thats nothing. the price of a typical pet store puppy (yorkie, chi, maltese) in Miami is $1200. Ive seen up to $4000 for "tiny" pups that are obviously just VERY VERY young pups that are being shown at "10 weeks"
