Do I need to answer? :lol-sign:

Anyways, Papillons (and phalenes!) are probably the only toy breed I'll ever own. They just pack so much punch in such a little body. I will always have one, they're just downright amazing dogs in every way.

I love all the toy spaniels, though, particularly the Tibbies. I could see myself owning a Tibetan Spaniel more than any other companion breed. those are all fantastic little dogs. Cresties are nice, as is a good chihuahua as well. And of the little 'floof' type dogs, Havanese all the way! Those are awesome awesome little dogs. If you ever get to meet one, you should.

Smallish breeds I love though I don't know if I think of them as SMALL per say- shelties (duh), kooikerhondje, and pyr sheps. <3 I consider those medium though.

I also seen my very first PAPILLON the other day. I will say that pictures do not do them justice, they are breath taking.
You made me smile.

My favourite toy dog is the Pomeranian. Only toy dog I'll ever own, maybe a papillon but I'd seek a pom before a pap. I'm getting my first pom pretty soon.. got a deposit on a black pup.

sorry for the size ^^

for dogs who are small but not toys..
I like shelties and tollers (but I'll let a forum toller owner post pics of theirs.)
The Swedish Vallhund

More recently, the Podenco Andaluz

And the Silken Windhound

Some small dog lovin':

I have to say of all the breeds I mentioned, I think a good sheltie is the most stunning. (Don't tell the paps I said that). But I've always thought shelties were one of the prettiest breeds ever. They have the most amazing expression in their eyes.

I also forgot, I love Portuguese podengos (all sizes) too.

I'm loving all the adorable pictures guys. :D

Like nolu said, please do not get stuck with a BYB chi if you go the breeder route. Their temperaments have severely suffered from the breeders who only pop them out for money :(. Fortunately for me, my first chi had a good temperament even though he came from a bad place. Pebbles on the other hand, has nervous and fear issues, but I still love her.

I prefer the long coat variety. The smooth coats ARE adorable as well.

powderpuff cresties are much easier to convince to the hubby than a hairless would be lol, puffers in full coat can be kept clean faced shaven (like ruby) or you can leave them natural faced, when au natural you can definatly see the terrier in them!

cresties have great and interesting personalities...there not typical dogs, id say cross a sighthound with a terrier

I just got three blisters on my hand from stripping out a Westie today, hair was soft and hard as hell to pull out. Why oh why didn't I get into SFTs :rofl1:

I like Tibbies, Lakies, Scotties, Smooths.... and of course Westies.

Tallulah IS my version of a small dog :rofl1: I could see having a Bull Terrier.

Of all the teensy breeds, the Pap is the only one that I could really see choosing to live with . . . thanks to His Ripleyness and then Laurelin's brood. ;)

Chihuahua mixes (From rescues!!) I have two (Peanut-Chihuahua/Min Pin/Rat Terrier and Charlotte-Jack Russel Terrier/Chihuahua mix).

And Chihuahuas in general. (Lucy-Poorly bred chihuahua).

And obviously i love dachshunds! :)

other small breeds I don't have, but have interest in:
Pugs
Miniature Bull terriers

To be honest, I am mainly interested in medium to large breeds.

I think one of the only "little" breeds I'd consider, ever, are Paps. After sharing my life with Ripley and meeting hundreds of other Papillons, I just flat out adore the breed. I don't know if I could ever again have such a small dog, but if I could... it'd be a Papillon.

I would not mind owning a Patterdale terrier some day...they are a LOT of dog in a tiny package. They remind me a lot of little APBTs, which probably explains why I like them so much.

JRTs and bostons are great as well.

Pretty much only papillions. I like the miniature pinscher and some of the other small terriers, but I don't want to actually get one . . . I just like the way they look. :p

Tollers are little dogs to me... I don't think I'd have anything smaller than them (30lbs). Papillons are beautiful, as are LH Dachshunds, but I just can't see myself with either really. Maybe someday, but certainly not at this point in my life.
