I thought we could possibly make this thread into a sticky and anyone interested in losing weight can post in here.

We can provide support to each other, give suggestions and advice, talk about issues we're facing with losing weight, announce progress we've made, etc etc... any and all things weight loss related we can discuss together here.

Are you ready? Get set.... GOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 5" 8.5" and I weigh 175. I would like to lose twenty pounds. However, I have never stuck to a diet. Fortunately I have good luck with lots of exersize, so my plan is to restart exersizing now that my back is fixed and once I get over this plague or flu.

Apparently it's only $1 to join Weight Watchers right now... I'm seriously considering it, seeing as all my friends are members.

I'm all for keeping track here on the forum... are we posting start weights/measurements or anything? Or keeping that optional?

The first thing I wanted to bring up was rewards for losing weight. I lost a ton of weight last time and unfortunatly got sidetracked and gained it all back.

One thing that helped me a lot with my weight loss challenge was to give myself awards for reaching different weight loss goals.

For instance. I really wanted to get my hair cut, styled and re-dyed a different color. I really wanted to get a certain perfume spray that was AMAZING. Instead of just going out and buying the things I wanted I wrote down what goal I would need to reach in my weight loss to receive that prize.

lose first 5 pounds- get that pedicure you've been dying for
After 10 pounds is lost- Get your hair styled that crazy style you've always wanted
After 15 pounds lost- You know those earrings you can't stop looking at everytime you see them in the store? You've earned them girl.
After 20 pounds lost- Hunny it's time to sport that yellow polka dotted bikini you had hanging up. You've reached your goal weight now... time to celebrate. You've also earned yourself a $200 shopping spree to buy some cute new clothes.

Everyone is going to have different weight loss goals... that's just an example.

and for the record... I don't think I'd ever wear a yellow polka dot bikini... lol.... but a bikini would be nice.

We can definitely keep it optional since some people are less comfortable sharing their weight information than others. Feel free to share anything you want to share though.

I'm anxious to take my measurements and weigh myself in now.

Well here goes:

5' 7 (and a half)" 155 lbs

My goal "weight" is around 135, but I really have an ideal "shape" that I'm going for than a weight. So I'll be happy if I'm around the same weight, but have lost all the fluff in my thighs/butt/belly and am more toned. I know I'm pretty muscular right now, and that weighs a lot, it's the fat OVER the muscle I want rid of! (For example, I have great abs, I can FEEL them, I just can't SEE them right now! lol)

Awesome thread Amber.

I'm 5'6" and am tipping the scale at around 165.
I want to get down to about 140 plus give my legs and butt a good toning up.

I am gonna do the goals like Amber listed and I'm hoping it'll me. I need alot of motivation and I'm hoping I can get it from Chaz, Charla, and my dad.

I say 5lbs cause I want to gain muscle which will add weight..

How do you get your butt shapely and your second butt to go away?
You know that extra butt right below your butt?

I'm 5'7 and 145 lbs. I really don't have a ideal weight I want to be at, I just want to tone up the tummy and a little bit on my thighs. Everything else I'm happy with. Just not those 2 areas. Specially the belly. It's so hard getting the baby fat to go away!!

I've got this little pudge in my belly that everyone tells me is cute. I think it's ugly and just want it to go away. I was 175 after I had my daughter so I have lost weight. I just want to be where I am happy with my body!

Here goes: I am ummm 5'2 on a good day:lol-sign:I weighed in at 242lbs:yikes:!!!!!! I was SHOCKED!!!!!! I knew I had gained but had no idea it was that bad...

A bit of background, I was never heavy until after I had my kids, then I went up to at that time an all time high of 235lbs, I joined WW and lost 100lbs!!! I KNOW it works when you stick with it, I will say though there is a huge difference 10 years later in how hard it is to take the weight off... Last summer I was crusing along doing great at loosing, was back under the 200 mark and determined.... then I wound up in the hospital and had my GalBladder out... was in a week ( Complications ) and did not smoke the entire week, my hubby challenged me to stay quit and he would do up my Chevy Truck for me... I did stay off the smokes, but the diet went to the wayside... I have just decided I have to take back my body as well and it was great timing you all brought this up now because as I said tonight is my first weigh in!!!!

Here are a couple of Pictures of My "Baby" that was my reward for giving up the smoking..... Now I need to talk him into that Classic Mustang for loosing weight!!!LOL
