Zuma is officially known as The Zuminator NAJ!!! Woohoo!!

Zuma and I had a long 3 day trial this weekend. We didn't do very well on Saturday, luckily my trainer was there and gave me some ideas on how to fix that because we double q'd on Sunday and got our last Novice Jumpers leg today!! One more standard leg and we are out of novice forever!! Novice is so tough for Zuma because it's much more open and faster than we train. I end up pretty far behind and it's tough to direct her where I need her. Open will have a few more trouble spots that will keep her on her toes and hopefully go a lot smoother.

Anyways, here is one run we were able to get videoed this weekend. It's our standard run from Sunday, really nice except I accidentally stepped sideways causing an off course. Good enough for a Q and a 1st though!

Yes! I ran her at 16" this weekend to see how she would do (she would either have to jump 16" or 22" in USDAA) and I'm very happy with the results. She wasn't really wrapping her jumps very well but we can work on that.

Cool! You guys will rock in USDAA if you like the technical courses!

I am currently going insane because my attempts at measuring Pan result in her being right at the cutoff point for AAC (and USDAA). So in CKC she'll only have to jump 20", but in AAC, which I want to focus on, she'll either have to jump 22" or 26". I have to get her out to a trial for an FEO run to get a measurement with a wicket soon!

You need to run her at 16", so that someday we can meet at a trial in the middle and run a team tournament with her and Gusto. Because I think the two of them would be a killer match! She reminds me so much of him.

Yay got to see the vid! lol

She's looking wonderful, Sara! You both look like you're having a blast out there and she is really responding well while still having a lot of obstacle focus. What a good baby dog!

P.S. Have fun explaining to people that Zinga is a Koolie and what a Koolie is...then that Zuma is NOT a Koolie...and that Zinga and Zuma are not related... hehe
