How could anyone NOT love Zorak? How long do they usually live....the girls I mean, it seems you've answered the question as far as the boys are concerned.
I almost bought one for Jordon years ago but my husband at the time was too freaked out.....no wonder I punted him..big baby.

yes that's how I give her water. The can drink from bowls but they don't always remember to...the misting she cleans the droplets off and drinks immediately usually.
She is so easy to care for once you get over the live prey issue. I will miss her when she's gone. She's made 4 egg sacs so far in her time with us...none seem fertile or they're waiting til Spring.

as pets they can live 18-24 months sometimes...
but shes a smaller species (its 6 abdominal sections for females, 8 for males and males are SMALLER than females...)
shes a pretty little mantid, have you ever seen the chinese mantis? we have them here in ct more than the other types, the females grow 6-8 inches!
