Yogurt?

I was told that yogurt is not particularly good for dogs. Is this true?

I mix a dollop of plain yogurt into my dogs' food every day. (they get fed 2x daily) My 40lb Border Collie probably gets about 3 tablespoons of it per day, my 5lb Papillon probably gets 1-2 teaspoons. Would this be harmful to them?

Just curious, I don't entirely trust the knowledge of the person who told me that, but it made me wonder.

yogurt is excellent for dogs, especially if you use a good quality brand with live cultures, and preferably made from organic milk.
