Is yougurt actually good for your dogs? I know it's good for us but is it good for your dogs as well? I give Holly a little and the other's some yogurt (with active cultures) with their meals and they love it but is it good for them or just a kibble/meat topper? I give cottage cheese, ricotta cheese as well sometimes along with an egg (Ele hasn't had egg yet I'm waiting until she's older). The dogs love the yogurt most though and I was just wondering if it was healthy and actually did something for them, rather than just make the kibble taste good.

I give my dogs yogurt all the time. I only use plain though, with live cultures. They love it. I've been told to give yogurt also when they are on antibiotics to help replenish the good bacteria on their digestive system.

The protein and active cultures in yogurt are good for dogs IF the dog tolerates dairy products.
