What is better than a litter of puppies on your birthday? Awentia had puppies this morning.

Awentia is my friends dog.My friend who used to breed Weims also passed away from a brain tumor about 5 days ago.She left all of her dogs to me. Awentia gave birth to puppies this morning.

Congrats on the pups and my deepest sympathies for the loss of your friend. It must have given her peace to know her dogs would be loved after she was gone. Are mom and babies all doing well?

Yes,the pups are good.Mom isn't eating. It may just be me,but I think she looks a little too skinny. I just checked on them a minute ago & they were sleeping. My favorites out of the litter are the one with the green ribbon that's all stretched out & the one with the blue ribbon that is stretched out on mom's leg.lol

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

But I am happy that mom and puppies are doing well and that they are with someone so wonderful to care about them. I hope you take some more pics of the puppies as they get older. Are you going to keep any of them? ;)

Such a loss is a sad thing to deal with, especially so close to your birthday, but your friend left you a wonderful birthday gift of the reassurance of the beauty and strength of life - a lovely litter of puppies. I know she is smiling, surrounded by her canine friends who were waiting patiently for her, watching you care so well for the dogs she loved so much in life.

I'm betting that you'll be keeping at least one of the puppies, as a beloved companion and tribute to your friendship, even if it isn't necessarily a dog you want to show or breed.

I hope you decide to keep a pup. What a wonderful friend you are. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's passing away. It must have been a real comfort to her to know you would take care of her dog and the puppies. My best to you and the dogs.
