I don't take mine in regularly. He runs, he jumps, he eats, he craps, he's happy.

They don't do any sort of tests for a checkup around here, that I know of. They just give a physical and shots. No heartworm here and I've never had a vet ask for a fecal if the animal appeared A OK otherwise.

I don't worry about vaccining him for everything known to man... but some time soon I'll take him in for a rabies booster and a bordatella. Those two are necessary and handy respectively.

When I took Strider in to get his eye rechecked I had them do a full blood panel, just because I wanted to get a baseline done to see where he's at. He's 2 years old. It will be nice to be able to compare when he's an old dog. Also, I wanted to take a look at his thyroid for curiosity sake since borzois are prone to low thyroid. It came out normal and clean across the board.
