I finally remembered to grab both camera and battery at the same time, so on Wednesday Smkie and I grabbed all the dogs (I even had Molly!) and went out to enjoy the last warm day of the season. The two white dogs and Pepper took off as soon as possible, so most of the pics are of the dark dogs.

There are two distinct areas of this place. The first is the prairie path:

Which leads to the hidden valley. It really does just pop up at you and is like a whole different world. When the leaves were on the trees, it was like a cathedral:

NIce shot of MOlly! I Don't know how you caught her still long enough.

Thanks for the one of Mary and mary and me! I sure hesitated to take her but she has wanted to go back so badly that she almost left us twice when we were in the valley.
I laffed when Mary just sat down and scooted down that hill. LIke a little kid:p
SHe was much more sensible about the whole thing this time and slept like a log for a day and a night practically in the same spot afterwards. SHe had so much fun.

IT takes the stress right out of you, and you can feel yourself breathe and your mind clear. No matter how bad things are after a walk down there it all seems a little bit more possible. AT least for me. ANd you get worn out dogs to boot!

Pepper is already sitting on the arm of the sofa with her head on my shoulder saying "woods mama woods mama" EVer so quietly. I understand grunt speak. If there was a way to slip out without vic and Mary knowing i would. If i went without them they would not speak to me for a week and i don't think either one has any business going again so soon.

NOne of my dogs have ever responded to deer. THey have come so close and the dogs reacted as if they were ghosts. Not Pepper, i was horrified when she shrieked and few ran off. Fortuantly she called off quickly. I will have to make sure she has some horse and cow experience and learns to leave such things ALONE!
