I love this time of year too--for exactly this reason--I just want to be right there in that photo.

The purple flowers are sweet william. Because I hurt my leg and lost 2 weeks I missed the dutchman britches; Some of the spring beauties were still about. The air was so soft, overcast, not hot, but not cold either, no wind, a perfect perfect day for the dogs to run. pepper was so tired she made it in the door and didn't move again until this morning. They needed a good run out desperately.

for those that like purple flowers. Sweet william are worth bending over to smell too.
When I was little I once took my Mother the biggest bunch of them. At least I only took one from each group. Now I don't let the children pick them, but we always smell them and admire.
