Sad to see all those elderly dogs that have lost their homes :(

There's something about Bryne I like. I think it's that there's a bit of the cagey, conniving Fila mind showing in those eyes, lol!

I've heard good things about GHF!

Lots of dogs. It says Jakey came from a breeder, wonder who?

I love that site. I always look at the dogs there... I got shown it from the BC boards... :p

.... I like Bobbie... Looks like a perfect brother for Psyche to me... Kidding! I can't have, and don't want another dog!

Ironically, my best friend had Jakey on trial for a few days. I never actually met him while she had him, but I can promise you - the description is NOT what he acts like. Nice dog, just not what it said.

I've been a bit disappointed in people they have accepted/refused to adopt to. I know a person who has adopted two dogs from them, and the dogs both live in utter hell. I know other great homes who have been turned down.

After the way my friend was treated, I will find other places to get my BCs.

Oh, so many beautiful borders. Poor things, I hate to see them homeless. If I could, I'd scoop them all up and take them home right now. It's a shame they're all such gorgeous dogs, it's easy to see why someone would want to take them home and not even think about the intensity and energy!

Wow BB, that's a bummer. I don't know if they'd adopt to me or not. BCs are so uncommon in the shelters here, so I'll probably have to go to rescue to adopt.

I'm afraid I probably sounded more harsh than I intended. They've saved more dogs than we can probably count, and I think that is certainly to their credit. It's not that I think people should avoid them, especially not people who are well qualified to evaluate a dog themselves, and who go in with the idea that what the rescue is saying about the dog may not be what is true (probably the case with most rescues). As I said, I was very disappointed in how poorly my friend, a professional trainer who also runs a wonderful all-breed rescue, was treated. It left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. But I suspect they do FAR more good than bad.
