Thursday was a very nice day here, weather wise anyway, We had to go to lancaster to go to my grandfather-in-laws viewing and funeral, and we would be there two days so I wanted Sunny to smell okay. Like I said, the weather was nice and warm and I decided to not muss my nice clean bathroom up (I always clean it before I go away so the relief staff[babysitters] can use our shower and all while they are here overnight) and bathe Sunny outside. He HATED IT! I mean baths on their own aren't his favorite thing anyway unless I have time for a puppy massage, but this was rediculous! He wiggled and squirmed and tried to run away. Now I will grant you that the water was a little chilly but he had been running all over the place and was panting up a storm since he was so warm, so I figured it wouldn't be such a big deal, I mean, I like a cold shower after a workout! To add insult to injury as soon as he was all rinsed and sparkling clean he decided to roll in the grass, entagling little bits of rock and dirt(now mud) and sticks in his once pristine fur. I figured I'd fix his little red wagon good and blowdry him with the blower to get the gunk out before we left. Now don't get me wrong, this was probably another poor idea on my part but he NEEDED it badly so I proceeded. If that little brat didn't find every way he could to make a hard job harder. He climbed up my leg, tried to eat the hose, barked at the air coming out of the hose and didn't stand still for a minute. It was actually kind of funny cuz he kept trying to bite the air and looked confused because he came up with an empty mouth :) When we were all done he looked halfway okay, and the stuff was out of his fur after a quick brushing but it was not a good experience for either of us. Atleast he smelled better I guess  I am still trying to figure out what the issue was since we have played with the hose before. Oh well, live and learn.

I know what you mean! The other day it was raining when we went up to see the horses, Gus rushed off to the muddiest spot in the field and rolled around in ecstacy in it!! Now bathing Gus is not an option when i'm on my own. It's a 3 man job!!! So I had to leave him out in the porch till he was dry enough to brush off!! I can't blow dry him as even that sends him maaadd!! Dogs hey!!

Go figure. It's actually easier to wash Shiva outdoors in the cold well water than inside in the warm shower. Not that either one is easy, mind you. And Kharma we don't even want to discuss.
