why Avatar animated?

ok, so I put up a new avatar and it should be animated... but it's not.... anybody know why?

Did you save it ?? and then upload it... or did you type in the website that it is from and do it that way

i tried both... when i copied and pasted the website it gave me an error message
and when I saved it and then uploaded it, it wont animate...

Weird... Mine always works..... Odd.
