I have a friend who has done all screening on her pups guarantees on health and does a darn good job of screening, of course she is willing to take them back regardless! No website yet!
Also where we get pups from theres guaratees and will take back maybee not for life but a few years!
Being in a petshop you can screen to certain extent not going to there house or nothinng!

Why not get the same mix from a shelter, SPCA or humane society? It's cheaper and you get the same kind of dog without supporting a puppy mill or back yard breeder. IMO, every 'designer dog' breeder is a byb! Plain and simple.

Anyone who sells a pup to a pet store should have all of their animals confiscated..PERIOD!!

I don't even understand half of what you type. What are you trying to say in your second sentence?

Yes, your friend is a byb if she's making designer dogs. They are not a breed, they are mixes that can not be registered and are simply bred for profit. You have no guarantee as to what they'll look like, how they'll act or what their health will be like. What kind of "screening" and "testing" does she do?
Also, if you are selling pets to a petstore you are worse than she is!

I'm sure you really just don't understand. I will, as I hope other poster will..try to explain without the nasty attitude.
Pet stores have no way of knowing where the pups go and what will happen to them. They encourage puppy mills, puppy brokers and BYB's. The point about the mixed breed pups already being available at shelters is meant to illustrate the fact that there is no reason for anyone to have to go to a pet store to get one as this practice encourages more BYB and the like to continue breeding in order to suppy the demand.

So purebreeds can't have hip diplaisa?
well they quite obviously can!, you sed y do u need to do testing, and i was giving u a example, all dogs can

*thats why u test!*

Get them from shelters(the purebreeds)!
there is lots of purebreeds in shelters, but theres plenty more mixes!,
get the purebreeds from responsible breeders, get the mixes from shelters, because you cant get them from responsible breeders cause, knowone who breeds mixes is a responsible breeder.

i have to add i find some of your posts hard to read too

Yeah, I saw that CBS thing this past Sunday. This is all a bunch of typical sheeple line of thinking. Status is sooooooo important, don't you know?

Don't these morons know that, instead of adopting one of these breeds and shelling out hundreds of dollars, all they have to do is go to the nearest shelter or spca and give one of those dogs a home? An $80 adoption fee just isn't enough to impress the neighbors.

I bought a "designer dog" and before I purchased him I searched for months through all the SPCA's in my area to find a smaller dog that would suit me. All the dogs in my area's humane society are larger and mostly pitbull crosses. It's not a crime to buy a dog because you love it, and not everyone getting these "designer dogs" are doing it to impress people.

The "crime" is the people who breed these dogs in mills and create all the hype. The part of this guy's kennel they showed was clean, but the dogs were in cages, two or three cages high, in long rows. How on earth can these dogs possibly be cared for? That's the part that is just criminal. These puppies are raised like veal . . . the bitches are bred and bred and bred until they are used up . . .
