So my wife is 3 months pregnant and I'm working with our 1.5 year old chocolot lab and prepairing her for the big day of meeting baby. We plan on introducing them on "neutral" terratory.

Abby(our lab) has very good manners. I plan on teaching her to stay off a certan blanket for the baby to play on. She is also very concencious of smaller dogs at the dog park. Does anyone else have any helpfull tips?

Has she been exposed to babies? Crying babies? Toddlers?
You should definitely try to expose her to those if you can. And start now with all the new changes the baby will bring, including any new rules you will incorporate, and getting her to understand that not all your attention will be on her now.

I've read that you should bring an item home with the baby's scent on it so the dog can smell it and get used to the baby smell. This way when the baby comes home, the dog is familiar with the scent.

How is your dog for for staying out of certain areas of the home such as when your eating dinner. If the dog is good at learning that now it should be easy when the baby arrives. If not then the time to start teaching space limits is now.
