I have a puppy that will be 4 months in two weeks. Currently I am feeding her 3 times a day. However, I would like to go to 2 times a day feeding. Is it too soon? If so when is a good time to wean her off that lunch time feeding?

Well honestly I've fed mine twice a day since I got them, at 10 and 8 weeks. Mostly because they were just not hungry three times a day. Never had any problem.

hard food:

I fed my puppy twice a day until I noticed he was no longer eatting his entire bowl in on setting. So now he gets 1 cup in the morning which last well into the afternoon & he gets one cup at supper which last well into the am hours.

He's a cocker though so I guess it doesn't take much to feed him. What breed is your puppy? Have you research thier eatting habits?

My shih kind of let me know, around 4 months, he lost interest in his lunch. Now he get a small breakfast, a small handful of kibble during the day for training and then dinner.

My Beagle is a little over 4 months now and I changed to 2 times a day a week ago. So, I would say he shoudl be fine to change now. Just remember to follow the instructions on the bag, and split it by 2 rather than 3 now.

What kind of puppy do you have and how is your potty training going?

Same here ... when my pups weren't interested in breakfast, I'd give them brunch and supper. All my other dogs were once a day, so I guess they must have been around 6 to 8 months old.
