Hmm, depends what you count as rare. There's a couple coolies around here. Giant schnauzers are fairly rare around here. My uncle had two cane corsi at different times. I've met some barbet from a local breeder.

I dont know, I guess I know many other breeds a that some would consider rare, but I see them often enough to not be thinking of them.

Oh, and I own a Chessie. :p Seems like most people had one when they were growing up, but don't have one now. (That's what I'm told, anyway. "Oh, I had one of those when I was a kid!" or "My dad used to hunt with one, but he doesn't have one anymore.") I have only met one other Chessie, besides Abrams' breeder's dogs.

A couple of Azawakhs at coursing. Plus a bunch of Silken Windhounds.

A guy moved onto our street with a large Xolo.

Met a few... then I again I do hang out at French Shepherd dog events, so it's not too surprising that I've met few Berge Picards & Briards.
Other than that, my Aunt owns an Irish Deerhound.
I've met a Kangal a few times...
Zora also has a Swiss Shepherd, a Leonberger and a Fila in her puppy class.

And well, Zora is the only Beauceron in town. :p

We have a TON of beagles around here-a lot of people hunt them and many then end up as pets. Honestly, I generally see more beagles around than labs. In my neighborhood now is various little dogs, a rottie that is walked by frequently, and bully breeds. Down the road from us is a JRT, cocker, a pair of pit bulls, a GSD and a few mutts.

I'm kind of in the middle of the desert, so not a ton:p I have seen a dog on a walk with his owner that I'm about 99% certain was a Leonberger. We have some Bouviers that come in as well as some Xolos. There was a dog pulled from a shelter that I am still convinced was a Fila. Brooks has run with an awesome Borzoi at the dog park, and with an Afghan puppy that was visiting from the town over.
Goose is the only smooth Chow in town, does that count?:p

I don't know. I've met a lot of dogs, and I have a crap memory.

Obviously I'm surrounded by welsh collies. Not rare here at all, but I guess rare other places?!

I've met a polish lowland sheepdog.

Xolo x 2 except I'm not sure I can count it, as I wasn't looking at them lol I was delivering a puppy I'd rescued to a house and she had two lol. They were coated so never noticed, was weeks after she said she had xolo and I was a bit wtf?!

Various other crazy dogs over the years.

We had a Chessie puppy join at training last week. I didn't even know there were any in the country. I saw it and I wanted to ask if thats what it was but then thought "it's probably not, she'll think I'm talking martian if its not" but it was and I was like "OMG I'VE NEVER MET ONE TELL ME ALL ABOUT HIM" Apparently only 3 breeders in Aus as is.

And a Leonberger that comes to training, she's gorgeous but she's skittish. :(

I have a Polish Lowland Sheepdog in daycare and he's pretty neat!

Also, a breed that I see WAY more often than I would expect to here in Alaska is Bouviers, I know 4 or 5 of them, all from different owners.

Let's see. I've met a lot of different breeds in the last few years.

At the grooming place I worked at, I met a Komondor. His family had him shaved, and he looked like a giant bichon frise.

At a dog show I met two Tibetan mastiffs. To them, I did not exist. Such is the guardian breed. :p

I have met two Filas. One Chaz knew of, the other I met recently at work because my coworker owns a Fila and she brought him in for a vet visit. He was beautiful. There was also a Cane Corso pup that boarded briefly. She was adopted by said Fila owner. There is a Boerboel that boards, he's a sweet dog but I can't walk him, he's much too strong!

I met a Czech wolfdog female, she has boarded twice at work. She was so pretty, and so sweet. And the howling! Lol

There was the Lagotto Romagnolo pup that boarded. Most. Annoying. Puppy. Ever. I mustn't forget the Xoloitzcuintle pup that boarded. He was so cute.

At the dog park somebody actually brought a Karelian Bear Dog. She was very pretty, but a bit of a brat.

I met Cesky Terrier puppy once when Skittledoo and I attempted to go to a dog show, but it was called off due to winter weather, so we hung out in a trailer with an ibizan breeder and she happened to have this terrier pup there. Also a few Bedlington terriers were there. They were a little weird in the head.
