Debt would be gone first and foremost. Mine & my immediate family; the SO & his immediate family.

Trust funds would be established for our nephew, my BF's three girls, and my SO's BF's two kids.

Third, I'm buying a huge, established farm - hopefully back towards CHS, where I grew up. I want it to be sustainable but profitable. I want all the veggies, cows, goats, chickens, etc.

I'd also probably not tell anyone for a year or so, then quietly just slip off of the map to everyone except those that need to know where I am. During that time, I'd find financial advisors and planners and start setting things up. I'd intend to have most of the money invested, but be able to live *very* comfortably off of what the interest produced.

I'd make donations to the two rescues I volunteer for, and I'd buy the best camera/lens possible. I do photographs for their animals, and the deserve nothing but the best. :)

I guess I'd travel some, and do fun things.

Oh, and I'd adopt my current foster dog. :p

I would get a fairly small house on a big ol piece of land, build an indoor pool, and set up my immediate family. I would hope I could live pretty modestly and never work.

I would probably have a hard time spending one million let alone 550....

I'd pay off debt, families debt, build an all in one dog facility and build a little bigger house with a bigger yard.

Fix up the house, re-fence the property and clear some more for pasture, pay off debts, buy a tractor with a front-end loader, and a car & truck that aren't almost 20 years old.

Share with family, and friends who need some help.

Give to charities like Salvation Army (last I heard, they actually use most of their funds to help people), a couple of local ministers who work with the homeless and to animal rescues/charities.

Set up a trust fund for the people (the peons like me) where I worked, so they could draw $5000+ a year on their birthdays (or whatever the gift amount is that doesn't have to be declared on taxes). Do the same, if not more, for Smkie, cuz she deserves a break.

I'd pay off my debt, buy a decently-sized, but affordable house in Colorado or Minnesota, get a new car, start up a small-scale dog rescue, put a little towards my collar business, and put the rest into savings.

Four brand new tires for my car! All at the same time! Woo! Then I'd pay to have someone detail it really well. Between the kids and dogs it gets pretty hairy/sticky inside. Then I'd go to Oil Can Henry's and get one of their high end oil changes done where they flush out the engine with cleaning stuff.

Then I'd buy a good van so I can take my own kids AND my nieces and nephews on outings together.

Swimming lessons for the kids, along with whatever sports/arts/anything else they were interested in learning.

    Debt be gone!!!

And I'd buy some land and start my artist/writer retreat. Ahh.

And a decent case for my violin. Plus a new bow for both me and my daughter. Her's needs to be rehaired pretty bad.

I don't even want the big jackpot I just want 10 mil.

I want to pay off my car and get a real computer. Then I want to put it all in savings and live off the interest which would be way more than I make right now.

Won't happen but fingers crossed >.<

First, I'd donate a BIG chunk of it to the zoo.At least $50 million. Maybe more. BUILD THE FULL AWESOME ELEPHANT EXHIBIT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! AND THEN DO MORE STUFF!

I'd also donate to several other causes I support.

Move to Washington. Buy a big piece of land. Build a house with a kennel and a stable. Have as many animals as I want. My stable would be attached to the house via a hallway (a glorified covered walkway). The kennel would be integrated into the house and designed to hold the dogs when I'm away or when I'm working one dog and need the others to chill, but the house proper would be totally dog-friendly and awesome, too.

Buy a Ford Transit Connect conversion for semi-local dog shows, and an RV for long distance dog shows. Campaign the CRAP out of Logan and get him his Ch and GCh. Do ALL THE CATs.

And, most importantly...invest it so I don't have to work for money anymore. Instead I'd work for free as a volunteer with zoos. And train service dogs for autistic adults and place them for free (including free team training and pay for all associated costs such as travel, food, and supplies...I'd even build a little guest house for the team to stay in during team training, since I'd only train one dog at a time).

Oh. And I'd go visit the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff. Over and over and over. And go to all the Who-cons. I'd even make my TARDIS service dog patch design a reality so Logan could be in costume when he accompanies me :rofl1:

Basically...do all the stuff I want to do but can't afford to do.

Well ... if i didnt die initially of shock, I would probably put it in savings & live off the interest. I am a simple person who doesnt need much to be happy. just the freedom of not having to sorry about money & best of all ... not having to work(not lazy, just dont like venturing out into society) would be all the reward i would need.
