My dogs are bi-language, for I talk to them mostly in Vietnamese, but some commends are just easier in English (specially the common sit, down, stay..) So far, they understand:
- Go pee (they pee on cues
- Go daddy (their dad works at a shop on weekend, and I often take them there to visit him. Soon they learned that "Go daddy" means to jump on the car for a ride!)
- Sleep now (they'd go to their bed and lay down)
- No more (they'd stop staring me down for treats, or whatever they're asking at the time!)
- Where's mommy/daddy/mocha/missy?? (They'd look for the one in question)
- Bye bye (They know they'd be left alone for a while)
- Ddi ta('m (a Vietnamese phrase meaning to take a shower) (they love their bath time, but everytime they hear these words, they'd try to hide!!. It's hilarious)
- Mommy be^' (meaning to hold) - they'd jump on my lap to be cuddled
-Ma^m ma^m (meaning let's eat) - They'd get excited, and stop whatever they're doing to follow me
