that's why I stopped feeding Nutro. Although I really don't feed them any less on the Eagle Pack and Innova, it's only like a half cup, but the food is still better and that's what matters especially now that they are still growing. I feed my pups large breed puppy but plan on changing that because thye are so different in age and it's gonna be too hard to feed all the dogs three different foods!

Very good post seeing I'm new to this, this was very informative. I don't have Innova or Eagle available locally so I'm stuck with Royal Canin till I can find a decent online dealer.

Saje THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I actually entered my info on that search thing from Natura & NOTHING came up for Texas?! What's up with that?! Anyways Weslaco is actually closer than Harlingen. Harlingen is about 40 minutes or so & Weslaco is about 25 minutes drive so I'll check out that Border Animal Hospital. If not Harlingen it is. But that to me is worth the drive for my Zlata. Thanks again so much.

We've been feeding our puppies (half golden/half lab) Purina Puppy Chow. Is it really that bad that we should switch to something else?

Zlata call ahead since you'll be going for a drive. Just because they carry Natura products doesn't mean they'll have whatever you want. They can order them but they may be carrying one of the different lines and you don't want to waste a trip!

Your welcome. :D

It would be better to switch. There are much better brands out there that your pups will do well on.

Well, I just went and bought a bag Eagle large breed puppy food. I am mixing it with their puppy chow so they get used to it. So far so good. I've also read that you should only do Eagle holistic; should I have gotten that or is the puppy kind okay?

I fed Levi Science Diet and he is healthy as can be. But my grandma and Aunt use to feed their Carin Terriers Natural Choice, and it was good. So I would say Natural Choice!!!
