*snicker*

Sorry, I saw this and couldn't resist. I mean, there are plenty of other things they do instead of help animals - they kill them, for one, and seem to like funding terrorists - but this is pretty funny. And kind of gruesome.

ETA: yes, I know it's from 2005. Still thought it was post-worthy. Although being so old maybe I put it in the wrong sub forum.

You know, it's so funny how animals have the right to live - except those in PeTA's custody.

Oh, but you see, you're missing the point . . . its not that they have a right to LIVE. Its that they have a right to be free of the indignities forced upon them by humans. Not just suffering, but anything that affects their 'dignity' or their 'rights' as free creatures. if they can't be dignitifed and free, then they are better off dead. Their desire to live is irrelevant, just as their desire to stay with their human family, or to perform tricks (because its fun) is irrelevant. They must conform to PETA's idea of how they should live, and if not, they are better off dead.

Wtf? Eating cow =/= eating people???
Of course. You see, cows have exactly the same feelings and thoughts we do. They spend all their time thinking about their deaths and the slaughterhouse . . . they suffer spiritual anguish at the pointlessness of their lives . . .

PETA, concerned that animals experience the world in the same way we do, thus ignores things that would make a real difference to animals . . . such as more humane farming practices.

They are so wrapped in their fanaticism, they lose their compassion for the very creatures they are trying to help . . . by refusing to see the world through an animal's eyes . . .

We hate pit bulls and think they should all be killed, BUT..

We'll just put a cute picture of a Bully-type dog as a banner on our website! Complete with a cute kid!

Wouldn't want anyone to know about all the legislation we're pushing, and how we preached that the Vick dogs should be put to death.

Clearly the kid is exploiting the bullydog, so its okay. If we wait long enough, someone will come and splatter blood over her or something like that.
