For a cat with urinary issues. THe new Kitty for Hyia, Sancho (sp?) has a urinary track infection. He had some crystals so he will require a special food. HE is being put on antibiotics now. Purina urinary formula was suggested. I just have issues with purina so something out there must be better. I met him this morning. HE is HUGE, orange (not black don't know where that came from) and truly deserving of his name. HE is getting a flea bath and treatment today. I will bring him home tomorrow. I have a good feeling about him. He has been an inside outside cat, and lately just an outside because of another cat's issues with him coming in. HE will be most welcome in here. Hyia will see him before school tomorrow and then I will bring him home.

are you planning on using canned or dry? Canned has quite a bit more moisture while helps and also you may want to look into one of these...as it encourages the cat to drink more often.

Sancho is here. He is a glorious large orange tabby with longish hair and huge feet. I took some pics and hope to introduce later today. HE is well deserving of his name and Hyia is not going to change it. He has special food to help him get over his infection and with the link help here hopefully we can keep it from ever coming back.

Wet food is ideal for a cat with urinary issues. If you cannot feed all wet you'll have to feed one of the urinary health dry foods, none of which are all that great nutritionally. Or you could do some of both.

Will try to keep it wet. She sent a bag of special food for him, so I may mix it for awhile.
