One time when I was walking Orson (Phoebe and Kevin weren't along with me for some reason) this guy yelled from across the street "Hey, nice dobie! Are you going to let HER have puppies" Before I could respond, his buddy said "Dude........no because HE has a UNIT" and then MUCH laughing at his friend followed, LOL

Otherwise, no. Orson is pretty obviously MALE.......he doesn't have fur to hide his "unit" LOL, and Phoebe is petite from her paws to her nose, in her movements and actions and nobody has ever mistaken her for a boy :)

FWIW........I think Mia and Summer BOTH look very feminine :)

Both borzois get called "she". Poor Strider has hair hiding his junk, and kaia is going to grow up a lot more substantial than him, so he'll look girly in comparison to people who don't realize a giant mane = male. lol

Charlie...yeah. No question there. He's a man dog.

everyone says "he" when addressing my dogs, even after hearing their names (Abby, Daisy, Liz, Autumn, and Eerie?! Eerie I can understand...). Of course, Liz is about 42lbs to her daughter (Eer)'s 63; I always have Liz in hot pink and my boyfriend always has Eer in electric blue... so I can totally understand when I walk them together and people think I have the matching set ;)

Usually people just ask me whether lacey is male or female. It would be hard to tell because of the fur, except she's pretty feminine in the face and body structure.

But most get the hint when I say "Oh her name is Lacey" :)

Oddly enough, most people actually ask whether Gavroche is a boy or a girl. Some people will assume one way or the other, but I think out of those, most correctly assume boy.

On second though, maybe those that don't ask and guess right do so because he has no hair to hide anything. He is neutered, but he was an adult when he was neutered, so he doesn't have a midget penis by any means :rofl1:

Molly is usually thought to be a boy. Hailey is sometimes thought to be a boy and sometimes a girl. But Molly wears a blue collar and Hailey wears a black one. I like to confuse people :p (actually, I didn't like any of the "girly" options when picking out collars, lol).

Riley keeps getting referred to as a girl - hopefully he'll grow out of it. :D

Murphy and Mick have never been mistaken for girls and surprisingly, Abbey has never been mistaken for a boy. I don't really think she looks that feminine...

With Morgan, people tend to insist that he's a she. I kid you not, the conversation often goes like this:

RANDOM PERSON: Aww, she's such a cute dog! What's her name?
ME: Actually, he's a boy. His name is Morgan.
RANDOM PERSON: ... Are you sure?

Yes, yes I'm sure.

I swear, I could dress him in 30 layers of blue, a pair of truck nuts, and a neon blinking sign that reads "I AM MALE" and people would still question his gender. Poor identity confused dog. :rofl1:

Ruby is ALWAYS a boy. She's got so much hair you can't necessarily tell at first glance. She is a pretty thick girl though - all muscled up without a really feminine face. I just correct people subtly.

Rocket gets girl sometimes. He hasn't filled out to the point where you can glance and know he's a boy - his head is still skinny. But I'd think the man parts on a short haired dog would be hint enough.

Allie is feminine enough that she always gets girl. Noodle sometimes gets boy because she's all muscley and skinny, but again - no man parts!

I always look at Summer and see a girl though! Maybe when people see Mia and Summer together, they assume Summer is a boy because she's taller?

Usually people guess correctly. Occasionally Tucker gets called a girl because of his fluffy-ness... Despte the blue collar, leash, and harness  but his hair is pretty short right now, so it's pretty obvious :p lol

heck, yesterday at the pet store, some lady I didn't even know called Maddie by name and said "I haven't seen you in a while" I must go there too much

For the most part people guess right with Sierra. I've very rarely had to correct people.

I do think a part of the problem is that some people have pronoun issues and get their he/she's mixed up no matter how many times you correct them.

Everyone seems to know that Kassie and Tilly are female but before, when Boomer was younger, some did think he was a female.

What's more sad is that he's not all that old, 7 years, but a lot of people think he's a really old dog, almost double his age. :(

Blaze always gets called a girl. I mean, can't you see his man parts seriously? He's skinny and got zero long fur! LOL

Lizzie always gets called a boy.

VIctor has been called a girl more times than I can count...once he was called Gertrude. He would be so ashamed if he knew for he is quite hte macho dude.

Everyone thinks T-Bone is a boy. Even when I pretty much drench her in pink. Not that I would drench my dog in punk stuff... but...errr.. it happens.

I just remembered...

When Wile E. wasn't neutered, he had massive balls compared to his body and you couldn't hold him without them touching you... He was STILL called a girl despite massive potatoes and sausage (compared to his body size) that stood out on his short haired chihuahua body...

Blaze is always a girl.

Poor guy, is all ways wearing blue or green.

I think I'm going to give up with dressing him like a boy. And buy the cute pink collars I love so much, but don't want a boy dog wearing lol.

I have stopped correcting majority of people. As its useless. He is pretty looking, But I don't think he looks like a girl. If he had short hair you'd see all his man hood and not ask, but then again I'm sure if he was a smooth, people would still ask or insist that he is a she lol
