Good breeder or bad breeder?
I recently bought a puppy. I researched for a long time, new it had to be the "right dog" because i did not want shedding. Well, i did find the perfect dog for me. Anyhooo's i talked to the breeder many times asked alot of questions. My final question before i bought the dog was.... Was there anything else i needed to know? Ohh i was told everything was good to go.
We took Simon to the vet for his shots and the vet informs us that he has a hernia (his belly button is out). He said it wasnt a big deal but that we would have to keep an eye on it to make sure it did not get bigger, because it wont heal for another 2-3 months. I talked to the breeder of course, i was upset. She told me that the hernia was healed and of no danger. I responded that in my opinion this is something a potential buyer needs to know, after all how many ppl would buy a pup not knowing for sure how dangerous the hernia could be. She had no answer to that. Regardless of how small the problem was i feel she should of told me... it was my decision, not hers. Of course i would never ever return my dog. As far as i am concerned she's a liar and a few other thoughts too.

You need to know that. I, also, would have told that you that. It would help you take the best, possible care of the puppy. That's really unfortunate that they didn't tell you.

I feel some justice knowing others agree with me and that i am right and she was wrong. Fortunatly for us its not a big helath problem. She had also told us that the dogs were going to a vet and after i asked for prrof i found out it was through intervet... anyone who anything about how that works? I know its an on line company. Anyhoo's i guess it's time for me to move on i hope this was just a slip on her part and that she is NOT selling at risk puppies to others. Thanks for listening

I agree that the breeder should have told you. When I got Chloe she also had one and the breeder told me about it. When I took her to the vet he confirmed it and confirmed exactly what the breeder said about it. When I had her spayed they repaired it at that time.

She definently should have told you. A good breeder makes you aware of everything going on that they know about.

I bet Serena will have a good answer for this one.
