Since all of these recalls what are you currently feeding? Are you comfortable with the food you feed, and are you planning on switching. if so, what do you plan on switching to?

thanks! I am very curious :)

I am currently feeding a home made diet called "the natural diet"
it is a raw diet with cooked grains

if or when this dog food recall is straightened out i want to go to a high quality kibble

The dogs:
I am feeding mostly raw. We have a really good raw dog food maker here so I can get a premade with chicken or turkey (ground with bone in) it has some veg vacuum packed in perfect amounts for my two for one day.
I supplement with fish body oil and vit E and a joint supplement called Glyco-flex. Several times I week the dogs get raw chicken necks or backs.

I used to add kelp and also feed some organ but I am currently feeding kibble (Orijen) a couple days a week so I don't need the kelp or organ/offal right now.

I also feed canned tripe, raw eggs and Evangers 100% meat canned and sometimes leftovers from our meals if I have anything appropriate.I am a bit nervous about the Evangers canned but will probbaly still feed it

The cat:

Kitty gets Evo canned or a ground raw that contains ground bone and organ. I add fish oil, vit E and a some Pitcairn's Healthy Powder.

I have been meaning to get a www.betterdogcare.com consultation for the dogs and cats but haven't gotten around to it. :p

I am currently feeding Canidae Chicken and Rice to all of my dogs. I also mix in the canned canidae along with small amounts of fish oil or canola oil and a low dose of kelp daily. I am very comfortable with what I am feeding and don't plan on switching...

I am feeding Orijen to Tango, and California Natural to the others. Though my family and I are not really pleased with the California Natural at the moment (they aren't doing as well as we feel they should be), so we'll be having to find something else for them to eat which will be difficult, as Winston is extremely sensitive.

I am very comfortable with both products, and would continue to feed CalNat. if Winston wasn't so sensitive to different foods.

Canidae here - Besame is finishing off a bag of Wellness Fish & Potato that was on uber-sale a few weeks ago.

Ilsa's got a few weeks of homecooked waiting in the freezer though...

Maya is on Canidae All Life Stages and gets 1000mg of Vitamine C every day :) I am comfortable with this. I am considering giving her some hard boiled eggs as I have been told that they are very good for the dog's coat, but I dont know. I am just going to stick with what we are doing now for a while.

I alternate between Innova EVO and EVO RM and I'm comfortable with what I feed...

The dogs are currently on Innova EVO. I feel comfortable feeding this food, however, it'll be their last bag of kibble because I am swtching to raw ;)

Both dogs are on Canidae ALS, but Lizzie will be switching to Innova EVO and RM in a few weeks after this bag of Canidae runs out. I am sorta comfortable feeding Canidae, but I do not like that it has grains. I am fine with Innova EVO and RM.

Overall, I would rather feed raw, but my parent's won't let me =/

Meg is one one kibble meal/day and one raw; once we are done with this kibble, she will go to all raw.

AM: 2 parts Innova adult:1 part Innova Evo RM with one of the following added - raw egg, cottage cheese, yogurt, the EVO 95% canned, or whatever leftovers I have.

PM: Either Primal or Nature's Variety raw, or some sort of RMB (turkey necks or chicken necks usually).

I'm not really uncomfortable with the Innova. I've been meaning to switch over to all raw for a while; this was just the final push I needed. I will keep doing the pre-mixed for the most part, while slowly adding in meal I make up as I feel more comfortable balancing stuff out.

As of tonight, we're technically feeding (dehydrated) raw.

We feed:

The Honest Kitchen's Embark
Canidae All Life Stages

I'm going to see if the Embark works out. If it does, then we'll switch (and our bank accounts will drain), if not, I'll stick with Canidae.

EVO RM, with the occasional chicken leg quarters, beef hearts, liver every once in a great while, pork neck bones, rabbit, groundhog, barn rat, skunk (Shiva  ), Kharma shares avocados with me - if she doesn't steal them first, and pretty much anything I'm eating, they get some of. I don't see changing anything as they're all insanely healthy and they love the EVO. Bimmer prefers it to raw poultry.
