He definietely weighs more than 20lbs! :rofl1: I'd say more like...at least 50.

Given your area, I'm going to hazard a Catahoula mix?

Some type of cur or cur-mix? Some of his features are very similar to Meg's, and I believe Texas is pretty well populated with them.

Im not sure on his mix but I have to disagree i dont think he is fifty pounds like some of you said both my sibes are about his size from those pics and they only weigh in the 40 pound range.

Yeah, I don't think he's 20 lbs or 50 lbs either. He looks like he's about the same size as Hailey, who is a pitbull mix, so I think he's probably in the 30-40 lb range.

Definitely bigger than 20! My Sheltie / Cocker (I think) mix is 20 lbs, and she's only 16 inches tall and all legs. I'd agree with the 40 lb range.

I see Lab in his face, not really Pit. The first thing I thought of when I saw the pic was Chocolate Lab. So I'd say Lab x Boxer.

he has to have a breed in him that come brindle which would be pit boxer dane i would say most likely he has pit or dane mixed with a lab he doesn't have that boxer look his face is not pushed it

There are quite a few breeds more than those that carry the brindle gene ... ;)

Actually Labs can carry the brindle gene, but it's considered a mismark. And boxer faces aren't all that smushy really -

Though I could see Dane as a possibility, too.

I was trying to find pictures of Meg from similar angles with little luck. There is a lot in them that seems similar to me. General size and body type, ear shape, obviously coloring. Meg's face is a bit smaller, but Pops suggestion of some added bulldog of some sort in your boy may account for that. Along with the gender difference.

There is a whole lot more than pit, dane, or boxer that can contribute the brindle. I'll stick by my original guess of some sort of cur or cur mix.
