awww cute puppy!!!! I love his coat!!!

I'd say hes got a tiny bit of rottie in him. but then again i dont really know that much about dogs, but he is alittle bit stalkier (really bad speller hehehe) then the average GSD's. but also hes still a puppy so maybe that's why hes rounder.

I would say full blooded GSD too, but I'm no expert. I've seen plenty of GSD's that look exactly like that, and I have seen plenty that start off stalky too. That's just my opinion though.

The old fashioned German Shepherds were built like that - before all the over breeding and tinkering that gave us the sloping rear quarters and joint problems! This one looks a lot like Purdue, my first Shepherd, and bears a lot of resemblance to Bimmer, who as most of the old hands around here know, is a GSD/wolf mix.

I think you just lucked up and got a good Shepherd from the old fashioned bloodlines.

You still find some of those good, old sturdy lines out there if you're lucky, BigDog! Since Rocky's breeder has been doing it for so long, I'm not surprised that he's stockier than a lot of the pups you see now.

Yeah, I love 'em! Renee, you should check out the pictures I've put of him in the members galleries! He's pretty pooped out and lying on the tile floor in the kitchen right now. :)

AT FIRST I WOULD SAY A GSHXROTTIE BUT FORM THE OTHER PICTURES WOULD SAY FULL GSH. sorry caps

gsh and alsation r same, its wat they were called in the war, and non-german did not want to associate with the germans so started calling the gsh alsation something like that

I though GSD and Dobe when I first saw the pup, GSD and Alations are one and the same, as stated earlier it was changed to Alsation because of the German association and then changed back years later, as far as I am aware.

GSDI would say! And there is no difference between the german shepherd and the Alsation, the difference is that originally Alsace (where the breed orginates) was in Germany, after much fighting over it was settled that Alsace would become a part of France. But the Germans wanted to keep hold of the breed as it was their dog to start with so the breeds name changed to the German Shepherd from Alsation.
