My 3 are all on raw. When I forget to thaw any out I have been feeding either Taste of the Wild or whats left of the Barking at the Moon dog food.

They all look great, nice shiny coats, teeth and the muscle tone is nice. The poops are ALWAYS much better and firmer on raw than any kibble though.

I bought a small bag of the Merrick Before Grain dog food and a small bag of Wellness Core. We will try those out when they get through the bags I already have open.

Mine have been on raw for almost two months, before that it home cooked w/kibble.

They've always had shiny coats, but now they're incredibly soft! lower odor, and the poops are great!

All three have been on Diamond Naturals Lamb & Rice for just over a month.

We were using Canidae before they switched formulas....they did great on it before they switched it. We switched to Diamond after the new Canidae made them have loose stools. Now they are shiny, more toned, enjoy their dinner, and I think, I THINK, that Ruby may be losing less hair. My house seems to be less hairy as of late lol. AND, Diamond is only $23 for a 40 lb bag, whereas the Canidae was $44 and they shrunk their weights.

I WISH I could feed raw. Husband of mine would freak out if I suggested feeding the dogs something EXPENSIVE again, lol.

I am a longtime raw feeder.

My dogs eat a variety of beef, pork, bones, organ meats, chicken with bones, canned fish, eggs, yoghurt or cottage cheese, along with the occasional fruits and veggies or other incidental leftovers.

My dogs keep optimum condition on this diet, along with beautiful coats, clean teeth, boundless energy, and minimal doggy odor.

I supplement with products from Nature's Farmacy, including their Ultimate Vitamin and Mineral, PhytoFlex CCM+, Digestive Enhancer, and KA Calcium.

My dog gets James Wellbeloved. He does great on it, really shiny and soft coat and it's actually the only good quality food brand he will happily eat out of those available here.

Wellness Core Ocean and Sea Pet fish oil.
She is doing GREAT on both.
Shiny coat, even between baths.
Minimal odor.

I still give her the occasional recreational raw bone to clean her teeth.
Sometimes I add sardines.

She gets 2 generous cups a day of the Wellness and has maintained weight well.

The boys get Taste of the Wild. Ginger eats Natural Balance Venison and Potato canned as she has megaesophagus and cannot have solid foods. (her canned is mixed with water as well)

I forgot to mention that mine do get supplemented with raw, even though TOTW is their main food. They love raw. I just don't feed it exclusively.

I just finished switching Archie to Merrick Before Grain-- I don't expect to keep it for very long, due to the cost being very high... But he seems to be doing great on it so far! He didn't have any problems switching to it, which surprised me.

Both of my boys are on Raw now.
The biggest change I've seen with Ivan now that hes on raw is he doesn't get the nasty, gag me gas that he would get on most kinds of kibble. And hes not looking for "extras" anymore.
The biggest change in Peewee has been hes more willing to come in and eat even on the hotter days. And he doesn't seem to be as hungry as he was on the kibble, ohh and hes leveled out on his weight. Hes getting much more raw than he was kibble but hes not packing the pounds on with it.

Ozzy was on several things, we were feeding Beneful (yuck, I know) before I found Chaz. Then we switched to Nutro, which gave him terrible gas, and we've been trying several different brands, Blue Buffalo, BB Wilderness, etc. We finally found Natures Variety Instict, which both dogs do extremely well on!

They are also getting supplemented with raw food occasionally..

I'm in the process of transitioning my pup from Iams and Pedigree to Innova Puppy.

So far, I'm already seeing a difference! His coat is much shinier and richer in color than it was before. I'm hoping that it clears up his dandruff problem too.

It seems like he prefers the taste of Innova. His little tail starts going a million miles a minute when he sees his food coming now!

I have been feeding Raw since I got Fozzie, over 2 years ago. Both of them are in excellent shape (albeit Fozzie is festively plump), muscular, good energy levels and stamina, bright shiney teeth, soft, healthy, odor-free coats, good poops, etc, etc!

Lately, I have had busy mornings, and I started feeding kibble meals most mornings. They were fed Taste of the Wild, Natural Balance, and Orijen basically combined. My boys love their kibble, but I'm not that happy about feeding it so often... so I bought a week's worth of Honest Kitchen meals and started feeding that.

I love the ingredients, and the company itself, they even promptly answered my e-mails about meat content. Gonzo loves it and he's doing well. Fozzie isn't doing so well, it seems. His appetite decreased GREATLY, which is not normal for him. He usually devours his meals. He even skipped a few breakfasts... but to be honest, that's probably a good thing. I'm just a little bit confused about his reluctance to eat it sometimes. It HAS been insanely hot for the past week or so, and I'm hoping that is the reason for his lack of appetite, and not because he doesn't like the food. I really like it. Well, except for their poops. They are perfectly solid, but I've spotted some little pieces of dried vegetables in them. yuck!

Innova Evo for my kids! Occasionally I'll do Taste of the Wild when the store is out of Evo.

I've wanted to try raw but I haven't made the dive into it yet. I'm going to read the stickys and think about it some more though :)

I feed: Raw, lazy style ;) 1 lb chicken a day, whatever is cheapest (try to shoot for <$1.00/lb), fresh factors whenever I remember (if I'm eating a veggie, he gets some, toss him my apple core, etc).

He's doing: great! After years of horrendous skin issues, bad gas, and crappy poops, Paco's been doing fantastic. Almost none of those things have cropped up since we made the switch a few years back.
Not only that, but his digestive system has become stronger overall. It used to be the slightest change in diet caused diarrhea, but now he can handle just about anything in moderation.

I feel like raw is like exercise... hard to start, but once you do, you wonder how the heck you ever managed beforehand!

What are you feeding your dog right now?

We've been doing raw, starting a couple of weeks ago.

And how is your dog doing on it?

Really well... picky Chloe who never ate her kibble or canned now wolfs her food down in like 10 seconds.

I was feeding Nutro and Beneful. I've also fed Taste of the Wild. They're all great, although it seems my dog likes TOTW more.
