Well....this happened. (kitten)

Someone dropped off a mostly feral, half drowned kitten at work today. The poor thing is TERRIFIED. Animal control was going to be called to collect it, but I'm a sucker and said I'd take him home instead. The shelter system here is not a friend to feral kittens, and he would have been euthanized had they taken him.

I'm thinking he's around 6-7 weeks old. Terrified of everything. Unsure of sex or health status, currently, as he's really in no fit state to be handled. I'm hoping with some time and patience he'll come around and then I'll be able to adopt him out.

Vibes that my husband won't make me sleep on the couch tonight? Or worse? Lol

Oh, the poor thing. I'm sure with time he'll warm up and I hope he finds a great home!

Poor baby has asymmetric pupils. Hoping it isn't anything serious.

ETA: they seem to be getting closer to normal now, so that's good.

Currently he's settled into his dog crate in the garage, with a lovely tuna/KMR mixture to try to tempt his appetite. His name until further notice shall be Crona, named after the character on Soul Eater. Seems to fit, because right now I can't tell if it's a girl or a boy, and he's just sitting in a corner saying, "I don't know how to interact with anything." Once he graduates to a more social kitty with an actual gender, we'll rename.

Vibes that he stays a healthy kitty, and that he'll start to come out of his shell before long.
