I had to call ten or eleven vets, but I managed to find one who will see Matilda tomorrow. (All of the others either didn't see buns or weren't accepting new patients.) I was planning on taking her next week for a general wellness check and to have the vet sex her and make sure she is actually a she.

But, she started sneezing yesterday and this morning I woke up and her face has a slight yellow tint around her nose (I'm guessing from discharge). So I wanted to get her in sooner to get that checked out, so we have an appt. at four tomorrow. I'm hoping it's nothing more than a cold set off by the stress of the move and she just needs antibiotics.

Good vibes that it's nothing major would be greatly appreciated!

It went well. The vet checked her from head to toe, listened to heart and lungs, felt her belly, checked for fleas, and looked in her eyes, ears, and nose. It turns out she has a very very mild upper respiratory infection, and she's on gentamicin twice a day via a drop to each nostril for 10 days. The vets fairly confident that'll clear it up and if not she goes back in for an injectable anti biotic. The vet, said other than the uri she's in fantastic shape.

Oh and she weighs a whopping 2 lbs. 15 oz.

Thank you for the vibes!

She's definitely wising up to getting the drops in her nose. This morning, she hid her head in John's arm when she saw me with the medicine. And to think we're only on day two of ten days. :rofl1:

That's a bunny for ya! Imagine trying to force medicine into a twenty pound flemish giant. That was always fun.:yikes:

I can't even imagine. lol

I've already come to the conclusion that she's smarter than me. I've been trying for a week now to keep her out of one area of the room, and everytime she'll find a way and I'll block it. The next day she finds another way. :p

She also 'supervises' when I clean her cage in the mornings. I'll let her out of her cage and start cleaning. She'll sit right next to the cage and watch everything I do.

She'll also 'beg' when she see me get the bag of hay out and gets quite offended if I don't give her some.
