But now I am.

Sully is joining the pancake club. He's gonna be a card carrying member after this too.

They just called and informed me that he's a cryptorchid. Which means he's going to require invasive surgery. :(

I can't remember if cryptorchid and monorchid are the same thing, but one of his testicles is in his abdominal cavity. :( My poor boy.

Aww poor guy... I think he'll come through fine. I guess he can be a member of the... hmm... poached egg club too? ;)

I think this is definitely one time where the term "speutered" is 100% accurate. :p :D

I think monorchid means they just have one, while cryptorchid means one hasn't descended, but I'm not positive...
Don't freak out just yet - Auggie was neutered a few months earlier than I was planning because they couldn't feel both of his testicles, so we were prepared for it to turn into an abdominal surgery as opposed to just a neuter. They called me a little into the surgery to tell me everything was going fine, but they still couldn't find the one, so they were going to have to go into the abdomen after all...
and then an hour later, they called to tell me the surgery was over, and they found the testicle migrated a little to the left so they did NOT have to go all the way in after all.

He'll be okay either way. => It just means the healing time will be a little longer, which will suck if he enjoys being super active, but he'll manage! *BIG HUGS*

I think Beanie is right about the "orchids". Sully will be ok, well as long as you post a bunch of pictures of him beforehand.

lol. He's resting now. Poor guy gave me the stink eye like nobodys business when I went to pick him up. :p

He's still sleepy. He came through fine. They didn't have to go in that far or something, I dunno, but he's on extended crate rest anyway. He's not a very active dog in the first place, so lots of lap time is in order.
