Sawyer has discovered humping is fun :rofl1:. Everyone has told me Labs tend to be major humpers lol as they mature. And until today it hasent been a problem. Until he tried his very best to mount our Persian cat Quincy . He then later humped the arm of the couch. Joy . He is supposed to be neutered in June.

Young idle labs are notorious for discovering any and all ways they can possibly behave badly. Heck, Daisy still tries to discover new ways at times. She recently discovered it was possible for her to snatch things from countertops without actually putting her paws up on the counter. And she loves humping boy dogs. Although if they take offense to it, she stops.

King never humped the cat, but other dogs and people is another story. Neutering did..absolutely nothing. He still does it all the time. Mostly to poor Molly, who suffers through it most of the time quietly, but sometimes, she gets very angry at him. If I interfere, she gets very upset with me, so I just let him go.

Oy... that is one of Morgan's more annoying habits as well (and he's been neutered since we got him). He's not as bad about it now as he was a few months ago. We can now go to the dog park without being completely embarrased anymore, but there was a period of time when he would have to pick out the tallest dog (preferably a male) in the park and try to hump it.

He still attempts to hump Molly, my in-law's dog, on occassion. He tries to be subtle about it (as if we wouldn't notice), but he usually chooses the wrong end.

    Good luck with Sawyer!

Lol thanks everyone. So far so good today with no humping. Lots of leg lifting on our walk earlier though. My nephews found that pretty amusing lol.
