We gots kennel cough

Poor Teeny She's got kennel cough. She spent all day Saturday going "cough cough cough cough vomit" and has just been coughing since then.

It sucks because I can't bring her to work with me, so she is at my mom's during the day . . . which is yet another thing my mother can hold over my head.

And it's funny that both she and Wally are exposed to the same dogs at work. She is sick, Wally (thusfar) is not. Teeny is the one with the kennel cough vaccine, Wally has not had one since he was on the track. I know that the vaccine doesn't cover everything, but it is still amusing to me and only goes to support my dislike of yearly vaccinations. And even if Wally does come down with kennel cough I still will not vaccinate for it again. Useless.

She's on Robitussin, St John's Wort and Slippery Elm. She'd better be better by Friday, it's our first Freestyle class, damnit!!!!!!!!!!!

I've read that a lot of people tend not to give their dogs the Bordatella vaccine, if they're exposed to it often. I guess they build up a better immunity on their own...

ugh, kennel cough is the pits. luce puked all over the place when she had it. the robitussin did seem to help her.

Well Teeny only had one bad day (Saturday) and one okay day (Sunday) and has only had AM coughing since. As of today no coughing has been heard. So we were only struck with it for 7 days. Yay! And Wally never got it, but I didn't think he would.
