We finally decided on vacation!

Nicaragua won out

We wanted to do something tropical with volcanoes and rain forests since we had a blast in Costa Rica. So, we're going to go to Nicaragua.

Anyone ever been? I (kinda sorta) have our itinerary already planned out for a few different locations. It looks so PRETTY and I can't wait to have some good Latin American food again!

So yay! That's my fun news of the day. I've been stressing about where we wanted to go and it was pretty much between Nicaragua and Alaska at this point. Since we seem to go to cold places every year, we decided that the tropical climate seemed nice. Maybe we'll do a cold trip the following year!

And then we're going to Disney with Jess the day after we get back, which I'm excited about as well! Bring on May!

My best friend growing up and her sister are living there. She had gone for a few months a couple years back (and then Chili for half a year) but now her sister and her have packed up, moved there, are getting jobs, an apartment and staying indefinitely.

If there is anything you want me to ask her tell me! Otherwise, have a complete blast there! She loves it

Fran, I really, really want to bring back a sloth for myself! Or a howler monkey! Both are adorable. One of the places we want to go to is nicknamed "the island of howler monkeys." So I'm really hoping to see lots of cute animals!

I checked flight prices a few minutes ago... and they went WAY down over the past day! I put our flights on hold (American Airlines lets you put a 24 hour hold on reservations) so Ian can double check them when he gets home. YAY FLIGHTS!

How exciting! I sometimes watch House Hunters and there was an episode where someone was looking to buy a vacation house down there. It sure looks like a gorgeous place. Hope you have a wonderful trip and take lots of photos!
