My little heathen is FINALLY growing up! And it's about *bleeping* time! :lol-sign:

I was shocked to realize that, over the past few weeks, Voodoo has dramatically reduced his chaotic output. He's quite content to curl up in his favorite chair and snooze, or stretch out on the floor and chew a toy. There is much less galloping and madness. Don't get me wrong, he still has his moments of sheer puppy insanity and energy. But they are growing fewer and farther between.

Hubby commented on it last night. In his words: "Did you realize that we just ate dinner and watched an ENTIRE movie without being harassed by Voodoo?"

Usually, our evening experience includes such famous Voodoo interruptions as:
-Trying to squeeze on the couch
-Active begging for popcorn/snacks
-Several attempts at squeezing into a lap (he thinks he's a lap dog)
-Having drooly, soggy, squeaky toys shoved at you
-Pathetic "poor neglected puppy" whimpering when afforementioned squeaky toys are not thrown at least 50,000 times.
-Pausing the movie at least 2-3 times to run and confiscate forbidden items (socks, kleenex, TV remotes, etc.) from thieving puppy.

*tears of joy* I'm so happy! Voodoo might actually grow up someday! Perhaps he won't be a Horseman of the Apocalypse for the rest of his life.

But you know what's funny? I kind of hope not. It'll be awfully quiet around here with no puppy mania.

I was thinking the same thing, Grammy!

I'm sure he'll still keep you on your toes... He probably doesn't want to be seen in public with you after you pull all of your hair out :lol-sign:

LOL! I'm sure I'll still have plenty of Horsemen stories to go around.

And there's no way we're getting another dog. Absolutely not. Three dogs, two cats, two people and a ferret in a 2-bedroom house? Nuh-uh. But then again, when it comes to dogs, these things seem to be decided for us.

And Renee, it is definately possible that Voodoo is just growing more wily and conniving with age. I certainly wouldn't put it past the little stinker.

I hope that Voodoo will at least stop this insane eating when he matures. I swear, this little dog is eating me out of house and home. According to the bag instructions, Voodoo is eating enough Natural Balance for a 150 lb dog.

I'm sure there'll be plenty !!! EliN and Nash&Rudy'sMom will take a bunch ! I'm anxious to see what Ollie thinks of him . N&R'sM is coming back to Chaz soon ....think she'll change her " handle ". She lurks but can't remember her password and has changed her net work . So it's easier to start from scratch . We go Thanksgiving weekend to see him in Ohio .

He could be playing with your mind ;) but herding-type dogs do get very responsible as they age. He may be maturing mentally, at last.

Then again, it's Voodoo . . . :D

That's what scares me. He's still been on his good streak. I'm thinking that he's either growing up, or plotting some truly diabolical mischief--thus attempting to build up his good kharma to balance it.

Didn't he do this to you once not too long ago? He was being a darling and in reality it really was lulling you into a false sense of security.

They do grow-up some though! Sawyer still has his goofy fuzz-butt side that he came to me with, but I can trust him home alone now and he doesn't redecorate for me.

Yes, he did that a couple of months ago. I'm really worried because this streak is longer than his last one. He must be plotting something REALLY evil this time. The suspense is killing me.
