Cookie comes home...today! I think we prepared everything yesterday but I'm sure we'll have to adjust some things. Total exercise restriction for six weeks. DVM called to let us know and emphasized the exercise restriction about five times. Finally said "I know I am repeating myself but as she wakes up more from the surgery I am realizing that she is an extremely active puppy...she is a LOT of dog though she is trying very hard to contain herself and is sweet as can be...but this is going to be extremely difficult so I had to make sure you knew..."

I assured her that I have a pretty good feel for Cookie's activity level (Level: Always) and just how difficult this would be but understand.

Let Operation heal the Cookie begin!

Urg! Recovery can be the hardest part for sure! My saluki is on restricted exercise after having his hip repaired and it's so hard.

I can't imagine trying to keep a busy puppy down for so long! I

what's you plan to keep her busy? Lots of chews and toys?

She is home Well actually she's been home a couple hours now but we've been getting her settled. She's doing very well. We have various medication and hot/cold compress schedules to work out along with everything else so it's been busy but just wanted to let everyone know she is doing well. Thanks so much for all the good vibes.
