In my experience all papillons sit on the back of the couch.
And they all think they're part bird when they jump down with no hesitation. And in a lot of cases, their owners never can use the bathroom alone... although sometimes they get lucky when their Papillon is at the top of the couch chewing a Himalaya chew.
