We just got back from a 3 day weekend filled with Ultimate Air Dogs! Let me say, Mr. Milt (owner/founder/runner of all events) is hands down one of the nicest and most helpful people. There are quite a few differences between the two venues, some positive, some pretty negative, but overall a good experience with good people.

We've been battling this on-going "lie down" problem. He has a stellar lie down anywhere, but in the past it's flown out the door at dock diving trials. So, we *really* pushed for exactness at this event. Not many people were entered in the actual jump competitions (because this was the first year for this event), so we could be a little longer on the dock without feeling pressured. And there was so much time to practice. His lie down improved!

Friday, after our first practice jump, Mr. Milt came up to me and said "We've got to get your dog jumping 20ft, he can easily do that" So he showed me how to time my throws and tweak the way I throw. What a big difference!

Anyways, enough of the boring details.

Our previous PB was 16'6".

We started off Friday's jump, after tweaking the throw, with a 18'10":

Then we moved to a 19'9" PB Saturday, still 'feeling' the throw:

Much better on the practice jumps Sunday (today):

Senior Elite (17'-19'11") Finals Sunday:

That's it!! Final PB of. . .22'6"!!!

My tennis shoes were soaking wet the whole weekend:

First place in Senior Elite Finals, and 3rd place out of all the dogs the whole weekend. Way to go, my little water junkie!

Thanks guys. :) It's a crazy fun sport! Blaze and I love it, he adored sitting on the bleachers during 'open dock' time and watching. I love this dog.
