Hubby brought a TV from his parents, but forgot to bring the remote. The issue is that he plugged our dvd player in the cable box, and the sound sucks for some reason (it fades every 40 seconds or so. Really annoying). It worked fine before when it was directly plugged in our old tv...
If we plug it into the tv directly, I'm just not sure we can switch the tv to whatever channel is needed for the auxiliary without the remote. So I guess we need a remote (or a new cable box, but that's a pain). It's a samsung tv. I know nothing about remotes or where to get a cheap one that would work (I don't want one with 30000 buttons).
Ideas? I'm not sure the cable people will be really happy if I tell them that their cable box might be defective because the dvd sound sucks if it's plugged in... and they'll just tell us to plug it in the tv...
