    you can teach them not to tear up their toys. Victor had to learn, and he was the great destroyer. It is just like teaching a toddler. As soon as they start to shred..you say no and take the toy away..for a while. The top of the fridge was a sack of "to be repaired" but eventually Victor got it..now he can have the great fun toys..his favorite is a chameleon that sticks it's tongue out and little bear that tells stories and laughs like a child. Your dog can learn just as easily..it is simply a matter of keeping your eye on what they are doing.

    Smkie's right. And as far as something as close to indestructible as possible, you might try the Orbee line of toys. They're soft and squishy, but they really deserve the name Orbee-tuff, lol! www.planetdog.com

    I have that same problem with Chloe. If I get her a stuffed toy, she can hardly wait to tear all of the stuffing out.
